他的一生，勇猛、忠义。提到他的勇猛，温酒斩华雄、过五关斩六将、刮骨疗毒等，这样的故事数不胜数，为世人所熟知。特别是温酒斩华雄那一战，书上写道：“曹操教酾热酒一杯，与关公饮了上马。关公曰‘酒且斟下，某去便来’。出帐提刀，分身上马，众诸侯听得帐外鼓声大振，喊声大举，如天摧地塌，岳撼山崩，众皆失惊。正欲探听，鸾铃响处，马到中军，云长提华雄之头，掷于地上，其酒尚温”这样的一幅场景，这样的勇猛气概，当今世上，能有几人？
说起他的忠义，也为世人所称赞。曹操三天一小宴，五日一大宴，又是送美女、金银、锦缎给他，但他依然不忘旧主，最后千里走单骑，终于回到到刘备身边。就是到了最后，吕蒙用计捉住他，孙权劝降。关羽仍不为所动。死前留下一句“若城破，有死而已。玉可碎而不可改其白，竹可焚而不可毁其节，身虽殒，名可垂于竹帛也”的壮语。吕蒙也十分佩服关羽，自觉设计害了关羽，天天心神不安，一日喝酒，竟自称关公，要***吕贼，不久便倒地身亡。
到了今天，当我们流连在名川古寺时，也经常会见到关羽的神像。我想，正是因为他的忠义、神勇，为世人所敬仰，才会在数以千百的英雄中脱颖而出，成为世人心中的“神”吧！
关羽就是这样一位当之无愧的大英雄！
