3、根据外观某些特征上辨别：不同的农药具有不同的特征，形状和色泽、不同剂型不一样。粉剂或可湿性粉剂，应为疏松粉末，无团块，颜色均匀。如药粉成团块，药味不浓或有霉酸异味，表明此药质量可能发生变化，影响使用效果。瓶装的乳油农药，如果发现浑浊、分层或有沉淀物、絮状物等，说明农药质量可能存在问题；悬浮剂若发现有严重的结块，也表明质量可能存在问题。
4、对农药登记证进行核对：国家规定，生产农药必须办理《农药登记证》或《农药临时登记证》。因此，农民朋友购买农药时，可在农业部每年发行的《农药登记公告》上查找,也可直接上网中国农药信息网中核对，如发现要买的产品标签与《农药登记公告》上或网上公布的内容不一致的，尤其是没有查到登记证号的，无厂名厂址、无产品名称的，建议农民朋友不要买，应当及时将此情况向当地农业部门等政府部门反映。
