我走出门外，太阳公公已经拉开了帷幕，霞红的光照向大地，使每个东西看上去都是红色的\'。云朵先生也匆匆赶来，它拿着那软绵绵的指挥棒，所有动物依次开始报名了。
“喔，喔，喔，”听到这声信号一首农场交响曲开始了。
云朵先生一指指挥棒，所有的狗都”汪，汪”叫了起来，听起来像一个摇滚乐队。云朵先生再一挥指挥棒，公鸡们个个昂头挺胸，高唱凯歌，像个男高音在那抒情地歌唱着。鸭子那边也不甘示弱。“嘎，嘎”地像在唱童谣。
云朵先生用力一挥，所有动物都唱了起来，“喔，喔，喔”，“咩，咩，咩”，“哞，哞，哞”。
这时，一朵乌云飘到白云身边好像在说“歌舞会时间到了，该结束".
乌云帮太阳先生拉下了帷幕，然后开始滋润大地。
虽然农场的歌舞会很短暂，但是却很美妙！

这本书主要写：贝丝的父母在贝丝很小的时候就死了，哈里特姑姑和弗朗西斯姑父收养了他。一次意外事件，姑姑不能再照顾她，她被送到了乡下姨婆家。在那里学会了做黄油，学会了做饭……更重要的是她学会了独立自生。她已不是以往那个又瘦又小，脸色苍白害羞的`贝丝，而是一个开朗活泼的女孩。
读了这本书我明白：独立生活很重要。我呢?就连一只小猫小狗都会害怕，一只鸡就会把我追得满地跑。洗一次衣服都要妈妈帮忙。我连这些都做不到，更别说要独立生活了。
记得有一次，妈妈把衣服都收到家里，让我把衣服叠起来放到衣柜里。可我正在看电视，哪儿愿意离开电视半步呀!但也必须服从妈妈呀，我嚼着嘴不情愿地把衣服叠好放进衣柜。
你看我连这么一件小事，都这样不情愿，那就更别提自己做饭，自己洗衣服等等了。
德国诗人、剧作家、自然科学家和思想家歌德曾经说过：“我们虽可以靠父母和亲戚的庇护而成长，但是无论怎样，归根结底人类还是依赖自己。”同学们，父母现在是我们的保护伞，现在天塌了有父母来顶，我们现在可以依赖大人，但是将来呢，以后呢，我们还能依赖父母吗?答案是否定的。“自己的事情自己做”，这句话谁都理解，这句话大家都挂在嘴边，但是，又有多少人是做到的呢?所以，我们现在就不能依赖父母，要学会独立自主，因为独立自主也是一种本领!
