1.教育主管部门协调教师配置
帮助农村学校加强管理，提高教学质量，为此我个人的粗浅想法是每年从城镇学校派出一批责任心强、业务水平高的教师到农村学校支教。这样做一方面可缓解城镇学校的压力，另一方面可以造福一方百姓。如果农村学校办得比城镇学校都好，学生当然就能留得住了。
2.提倡均衡发展
不要把成绩优异的学生选拔到城里，给农村学校留下一些领头羊，毕竟这些学生在素质、学风等方面有积极的影响，其他学生也会以他们为榜样，学风好了，成绩也会好，学校自然会有发展前景。
3.关注农村教师，让农村教师在岗位上扎根、用心
其实学生的流失和教师是有密切关联的，大部分农村教师是“老弱病残”，他们在知识层次上和文化素质上比专业的年轻教师差，他们还在延续老一套死记硬背的教学方法，这种教学方法已经不能适应教育现代化的基本要求。想要从根本上扭转这一局面，只靠对他们的培训和继续教育是不行的。首先，可适当提高农村教师待遇，刺激更多好教师到农村一线去，如优化教师办公条件，解决教师交通问题，使教师在农村与城里上班没有多大差别，并给予农村中学的教师以相应的照顾条件，留住教师才能留住学生。其次，尽量不要频繁调换教师，那会使孩子们很难适应新老师，学习成绩不能稳步提升。如果以上现象得到遏制，就能提升办学质量和声誉，吸引更多的优秀学生，形成良性循环。

1.同村玩伴的影响
同村小时候的玩伴，由于某些原因辍学后外出打工，要么学得一手好手艺要么挣得好多财富，回来后在村子里炫耀，使在校学生对他们感到羡慕甚至崇拜，导致学生在思想上对学习不重视，总想着出去打工挣钱。
2.学生和家长认为读书无用
有些学校位于比较落后的农村，部分家长思想落后，他们认为读书无用，孩子读书既耽误做农活又费钱。同时近年来国家普遍实行聘用制，没有所谓的“铁饭碗”，而且学生也看到自己身边的人读完大学却在家待业，这些现象导致一部分孩子中途辍学。
3.教育的不均衡
城里的学校高考成绩好、名声好，因为全县的升学成绩优秀者被挑选到县城学校，留给农村中学的学生是勉强上高中分数线者，他们本身基础差甚至理解能力差，加上家长的不重视，导致中、高考成绩并不好，学校升学率不高，使农村中学声誉差，给家长和社会没有留下好印象。
