众所皆知，东湖公园是以“湖”着称。进入东湖公园，映入眼帘的是一个大湖。走在湖堤上，眺望水势浩淼、“芙蓉镜”似的大湖，真令人心旷神怡。数十只游船从水面上悄悄地划过，留下一路燕尾似的波纹。湖水澄清，清得都能看见水里的鱼儿嬉戏。
