答案即为别人喝彩。现代人最大的不幸就是缺乏为别人喝彩的胸襟、勇气。一个成功的人决不是一个小气的人，才能固然重要，但胸襟更重要。第二位青年可能并没觉得自己能因为掌声而成功，但，他表现出一个成功人士的风范——宽广的胸怀。我认为拥有宽广的胸怀是我们成功的要素。

传说，历史上著名的越王勾践在吴国受尽屈辱，吴王夫差曾问他：“我若放你走，吴越两国再次交战，你会怎么做?”勾践答：“退兵三十里。”不久，吴王果真将他放走。正如吴王所料，两国真的狭路相逢，勾践首先把他当作恩人，应了承诺。吴军紧追不舍，不断进攻。结果，勾践灭吴。因为他拥有成功者的特点——宽广的胸怀，所以世界也眷顾他。

某小学秋季运动会，组委会评选精神文明奖，六年级某班获得这一奖项，这个班级的人并没有比别的班级文明多少。有人去问，领导说：“你没发现吗?他们在为自己班的运动员喝彩的同时，也为别人喝彩。”他们的喝彩声不仅使运动员快乐，也使自己快乐。
