Dear Friends,
On behalf of the Students’ Union of Beijing Foreign Studies University, I would like to extend our heartfelt welcome to all of the overseas students from all over the world to study in our university.
It is my great pleasure to propose several practical suggestions to you. In the first place, life in this prestigious university perhaps is not as satisfactory as what you expected. You may be tightly bound by continual classes, excessive homework and exams. In the second place, in spite of all these adversities, you will still enjoy your life in this esteemed institution. All types of extracurricular activities such as sports meets, speech contests, different social gatherings and dancing parties provide ample opportunities to make friends.
All in all, although there are a host of pressure, life in our campus is a worthwhile period in your whole lifetime. Wish you enjoy your life here!

保持一颗好奇和求知的心，带上一双发现美的眼睛，走到户外，探索大自然的千姿百态，发现动物的生机勃勃，拥抱世界的魅力。
美就在我身边，看着刘洋姐姐在太空中像鱼儿一样游来游去，我体验了太空的美丽；跟着姚明哥哥我们到了非洲的大草原，看到了形态各异的动物、了解到了大自然的魅力。哥哥讲：“每一种动物都有它独特的魅力，通过形态各异的它们，组成了一个美好的大自然，这些动物的存在，使我们的大自然生机勃勃，充满奇迹。”韩美林爷爷教导：“我们要与动物友好的相处，接近动物，我们会发现它是有智慧的，在这个美好的世界里面，这么些美好的事物，美好的形象，我们应该爱护它，我们应该保护它，我们从小就要爱这个世界，这个世界是很美好的。”
作为小学生的我，从自身做起要爱护和保护这个家园，节约用水、爱护环境、不乱踩草坪、保护小动物。我保护了它和我的家园，不伤害它的美丽，这样小动物才能与我成为好朋友，才能看到韩爷爷讲的这个世界很美好。

看到司机叔叔为了乘客的安全，在自己受到重创，生命出现危机的情况下，平稳停车提醒乘客注意安全，救了车上的每一个人，而自己的生命消逝。之后叔叔的女儿在失去爸爸后，坚强、独立和更加热爱生活，听爸爸的话“好好锻炼身体，更好地投入学习和生活中。”我哭了，没有像叔叔这些好心人的保护，就没有我们美好的世界。没有像姐姐这样坚强独立的生活态度，就没有更好的梦想实现。在学校里我应该和同学们相互帮助，传递我们友谊的快乐，在同学遇到困难的时候，应该伸出双手帮助他人，助人为乐。

So when I go into the middle school, I make my effort to be a monitor, luckily, all of my classmates trust me and elect me as their monitor. I can’t do what I want, every decision I make needs to consider so many things, if I go the wrong way, my classmates will have loss. As the saying that the more power, the more responsibility, I have pressure, but I learn many things, I become mature and can deal things well.
成为班长是我的梦想，因为我觉得班长很酷，我也会有权利。因此当我上初中了，我努力成为一名班长，幸运的，所有的同学都信任我，选我为他们的'班长。我很开心，我实现了小小的梦想，但是我没有预料到班长的责任是如此的重。我不能随心所欲，我做的每一个决定都要考虑到很多事情，如果我走错了路，我的同学也会遭受到损失。正如有句话说，能力越大，责任越大，我有压力，但是也学到了很多事情，我变得成熟，可以把事情处理好。
