“行了，真烦！”老鸡毛毽气呼呼又不耐烦的说。（主人有了新毽子，便不会宠它了）
主人来了，拿起了那个漂亮的毽子。“哦！我是世界上最美的毽子！”它边唱边跳舞。气的老鸡毛毽直喘粗气。
“呦！”鸡毛毽叫了下——它掉了一根毛。
“ 报应。”老毽子讥笑着。
“臭东西，看吧，你快完蛋了！”粉毽说。
他俩乱说着，其他毽子也来凑热闹。虽然不知道说些什么，就这么，晚上过去了。
早晨到了
随着公鸡的打鸣声，太阳出来了。粉毽依旧唱着歌，可这回是讥笑老毽子的：
你看，
粉毽你多么漂亮！
真美丽！真美丽！
有人嫉妒你，
谁让你美丽。咯咯的母鸡，你在干什么。
老毽子听了，脸阴沉沉的。
主人踢着粉毽，粉毽边跳舞边嘲笑老毽子。突然，粉毽散架了。主任皱了皱眉头，把粉毽扔进垃圾桶里。老鸡毛毽哈哈大笑：“你也有今天。”这时，一阵风袭来，老鸡毛毽从窗台掉到了地上，鸡毛折了。
“真倒霉，今天坏了两个毽。”主人说着，并把老鸡毛毽也扔了。
明天，你也许还会看见主人在踢毽子。但那毽子是文明，谦虚，没嫉妒心的。
