Everyone has his own dream. I want to be a good doctor in the future. The reason is that some doctors saved my life after I was badly hurt in a traffic accident. I have a deskmate, he is a boy of 15 years old. His name is Tom. We had shared a desk for a year and got along quite well.

Jenny is my desk-mate. She is a hard-working girl. When she was twelve years old, she won the first in a city-wide poetry recitation contest. Now she is chairman of the Student union in our school. She gives us the impression that her ability to express her ideas is excellent.
In spare time, she likes to carry a book .with her and writes down what she sees and hears. Shes such a lovely girl that I enjoy talking with her to share her ideas.
(一)意识落后,态度不积极
部分学生对英语教育的认识不足,没有认识到英语的重要性,英语学习的主动性较低[1]。这种不积极的态度导致英语教学活动很难得到深入全面地开展,而且部分心理较幼稚的学生甚至会出现对英语的轻视或敌视:英语不是我的母语,无须学习。这是艺术生和普通学生都会出现的问题,而在艺术生中这一问题会因为各种因素出现的频率更高。另外,艺术生一般心理较崇尚自由,部分学生养成了较为懒散的学习习惯,没有进行计划性的学习,对学习的任务也是采取敷衍的态度,导致学习没有深度。在课后,很少有学生主动进行英语学习[2]。这些意识的落后最终都体现为对英语的忽视,态度的不积极严重影响英语水平的提高。除了学生,部分教师对英语的重视程度也较低。很多的艺术类教师只注重对学生专业能力的培养,只注重表演、绘画、音乐等艺术涵养高、文化程度深的课程教学。他们忽视了英语作为语言的沟通作用,没有进行较高质量的英语教学,导致学生学习更加懒散。最后,学校的考核制度也不够合理,大多数学校采取期末的方法进行考核,而考试的监督又不够严格。这种考试制度使得学生的学习只是为了应付考试,教学的宽度有所下降。
(二)基础较差,教学难度大
艺术类专业的文化课程分数线较低,很多学生英语基础比较差,大多数都在60分左右,平均水平处于不及格的状态,甚至部分学生的英语成绩在20分左右,英语成绩在100分以上的比较少。一方面,学生的基础差,而教学内容是需要一定基础的,这一矛盾导致教学从最开始就没有进行良好的对接。随着教学的继续,学生之间的差距越来越大,整体水平甚至出现了倒退。另一方面,基础差使学生养成了一种无所谓的态度,抱着破罐子破摔的心理对待英语学习。英语作为一门语言类学科,学生在日常生活中使用得也较少,一旦教学出现了间断,就会出现倒退的现象。而且,艺术生的专业课占比极大,练习较多,学生没有课外时间进行英语学习,导致基础不牢固。
(三)方式单一,教学效果差
由于艺术类专业对英语不够重视,导致教学的方式没有变化,资源分配过少,加剧了教学模式的单一。大多数英语课堂仍然采取教师课上讲授、学生被动接受的教学模式。这种灌输式的教学方法损伤了学生学习的积极性,也不利于对教学的深度进行挖掘。尤其教授对象是艺术生这种思想较为活泼、性格较为开放的群体,这种死板的教学模式带来了沉闷的气氛,导致部分学生对英语教学出现了抵触的心理。
(四)难度不合理,实际意义低
目前边远山区的英语教学没有考虑艺术生的基础较差这一现状,导致教材与教学脱轨,很多学生无法理解教学内容。另外,在教学内容的分配上,英语的运用内容较少,这会造成教学的实际意义降低,无法适应高考及社会发展的需求。
