我们不得不怀疑，西方现代民主是否是唯一可接受的民主形式？西方人想到一个自由、民主的社会时脑海中出现的是一个横向结构，由无数个“个人平等”选举出自己的领导，但是，还有另外一种对自由和民主截然不同的理解，一种自下而上和自上而下的纵向的民主，中国能成功地领导全球四分之一的人口走向富裕，已经开始展示一种与西方不同的发展模式，有中国特色的社会主义国家。中国将发生某一些变化，今天是看起来不明显、不怎么看到或者只是开始了某一些进程，但是在未来将会变成一个显著的趋势。
