咱阜新虽然在省里不能数一数二，但现在也可以说是现代化城市了，因为这几年变化也太大了。咱不说别的地方，就说说咱的细河，你看了后一定觉得这里的现在和过去是两个样子。
原来细河在阜新可是一个数一数二的坏地方，河水呈黑褐色，发出难闻的气味。岸边一堆堆垃圾，人们都躲着它……
现在，河水清清，微风拂过，碧波荡漾。夕阳下，水发出金色光芒，使你感到美丽、舒心。水面上，船在行驶，旁边树木郁郁葱葱，这可真是：“船行碧波上，人在画中游。”
细河上还建了五座大桥，使得交通更加便利，车辆来往自由。
两岸，高楼拔地而起，树木苍翠，绿草如茵，花儿争奇斗艳。

“开饭了!”妈妈突然喊道，筷子在餐桌上飞舞，爸爸夹了一块糖醋排骨放在我的碗里。我立刻狼吞虎咽地吃了起来，吃得满嘴是油，大家见了哈哈大笑。
我举起盛满可乐的杯子，眉开眼笑地说：“爸爸，妈妈，祝您在龙年办事处处顺，生活步步高，好运天天交，越长越健康。”爸爸妈妈也举起杯子，说：“女儿，祝你在新的一年里好好学习，天天向上，学习更上一层楼。”我又来到爷爷奶奶面前，笑着说：“爷爷，奶奶，祝您福如东海，寿比南山!”紧接着大家互相祝福，一句句在餐厅回荡，一阵阵暖流流进心窝。
大年三十晚上，我真是吃得开心，玩得痛快啊!要是天天都是大年三十，那该多好啊!我知道这只是我一厢情愿的想法，过完年，马上就要开学了。我该以更饱满的热情投入到火热的学习中去，争取取得更好的成绩!

记得还有一次，爸爸给了爷爷三十元钱，我当时也在场。爸爸出去了，我也跟着出去。过了一会儿，爷爷就大骂起来：“钱刚刚拿在手里，哪里去了？”爸爸闻声赶去帮爷爷找钱，也找不到。爷爷以为是我拿了他的钱，爸爸发起脾气就要打我。这时，爷爷哈哈大笑起来，原来爷爷把钱放在床板下面了。我站在旁边，都要气死人了，爷爷每次糊涂起来总是冤枉人。
我爷爷以前不是这样的，为什么一下子变得这么糊涂起来了呢？我问了别人才知道，是因为爷爷老了，记忆力迅速减退的缘故。

除夕的之夜，无论相隔多远，工作有多忙，人们总希望回到自己家中，吃一顿团团圆圆的年夜饭。有时实在不能回家时 ，家人们也总是为他留一个位子 ，留一副碗筷，表示与他团聚。这年夜饭也叫“合家欢”，是人们极为重视的家庭宴会。俗话说得好，打一千，骂一万，三十晚上吃顿饭。
按照我国民间的传统习惯，年夜饭的吃食很有讲究 ，通常有馄饨、饺子、长面、元宵等等。
新年吃馄饨取其开初之意。传说盘古氏开天劈地，使“气之轻清上浮者为天，气之重浊下凝者为地”，结束了混沌状 态，才有了宇宙四方。再则取“馄饨”与“浑囤”的谐音，意思是粮食满囤。饺子是我国的传统食品之一 。也称作扁食或煮饽饽。古来只有馄饨而无饺子。后来将馄饨做成新月形就成饺子了。在唐代吃饺子的习惯已经传到我国的边远地区了。
除夕夜，十二点钟声一敲响，就开始吃饺子，因此时正是子时 ，取其新旧交替，子时来临之意。
长面，也叫长寿面，新年吃它，预祝寿长百年。古代的一切面食都叫做饼，所以汤面起初也叫汤饼，开始的面片不是擀成或压成的，而是将和好的面，用手往锅里撕片片，和现在北方吃的“乌鸦头”、“猴耳子”等的做法差不多。到唐代以后开始用 案板擀面，才逐渐有了长面、短 面、干面、素面、荤面、挂面……
不少地方在吃年饭的时候还搭配些副食品，要想讨个吉利的口采。吃枣(春来早，吃柿饼(事如意，吃杏仁(幸福来，吃豆腐(全家福，吃三鲜菜(三阳开泰，吃长生果(长生不老，吃年糕(年糕年 糕，一年比一年高……
当然，现在的年夜饭品种就更加丰富了，什么鸡鸭鱼肉、山珍海味，大约一年中能见到的最好的菜肴都摆上了餐桌。
