吸烟是个坏习惯，它对吸烟者和别人都有害。很多疾病和癌症是有吸烟引起的，比如说气管炎，肺癌还有很多其他疾病。近年来，成千上万的人死于吸烟。但是仍然有很多人喜欢吸烟，因为他们认为吸烟是一种时尚，很酷，特别是青少年。另外，吸烟也会对别人有害。二手烟是公认的对别人有害的。更糟糕的是，它会带来更多伤害。因此，人们应该牢记吸烟有害他人，那些吸烟的人应该尽可能戒烟。

近来，“体育入高考”这一话题引起社会广泛关注。有人认为将体育纳入高考，就能减轻学生课业负担，增强学生体质，可事实果真如此吗？其实不然，在我看来体育入高考不但不能起到既定的效果，反而会把体育变成一门应试学科，让多数中学生又增加了一项负担和对体育的反感，这与教育本身的理念相悖。
体育纳入高考意味着什么？意味着体育将和六门主课一同参加高考，这无疑会打乱现在的高考体制，并造成不公平现象，那些成绩平平但体能好的学生和成绩较好但因自身体质原因体育较差的学生最终进入同等层次大学，大学是进行学术研究的殿堂，以体育为标准来选拔知识型人才是否合理？高考的目的是为国家选拔掌握一定知识类型的学术人才，推动社会进步发展，高考赋予所有人一个证明自己的机会，一个进入社会全新的独立的身份，通过这项制度，国家把人与人又拉到了同一起跑线上，让分数决定命运。而体育纳入高考是要选拔体育和主科成绩同等优异的学生，又让学生站在了不同起跑线上，这是否是本末倒置呢？此外，当代高中生课业繁重，能够利用的时间本身就有限，如果再将体育纳入，空闲时间少之又少，这样不但不能达到预期效果，反而会使学生学习不能百分百投入，体育课时也无心训练，常此以往，形成恶性循环，结果却差强人意。
当然，不将体育纳入高考并不代表忽视学生体能方面的训练，体育只是一种形式，增强学生体质健康才是本质。学校完全可以通过提高体育课的质量，有效利用体育课的时间，增强学生体能素质，从而使学生更好投入到学习中去。
体育对学生健康体能固然重要，但不可置否，高考的本质是学生学科掌握程度即成绩的`抗衡和竞争，体育成绩优异的学生应当向体育院校、运动员方面发展，而高考的竞争应当以成绩优异与否为标准。同时，体育纳入高考也会使原本对体育感兴趣或喜爱的学生将体育视为负担和压力，无疑打压了学生的兴趣，而兴趣是最好的老师，体育纳入高考的做法非但不能起到作用，反而助长学生对体育的恐惧焦虑。
此外，体育纳入高考也会导致资源不合理配置，不能“物尽其用，人尽其才“，每个人的特长不同，这种做法不仅会泯灭每个人的优点和长处，更会加剧社会不平等现象。
因此，较之体育入高考，我更倾向于把体育作为中学生高考的一项参考，将增强学生的体能综合素质作为根本，注重本质抛开形式，这样才能使中学生在学习中得以放松，进而为更好地学习奠定物质基础。

I attended Jack's birthday party tonight. After dinner, Jack gave cigarets to our boy students present.
At the important moment, I stop them and told them the bad effects of smoking: firstly Smoking is a waste of money and it's greatly harmful to our health. And it can lead to fires easily. So we should not smoke at all.
But it seemed helpless and they wouldn't listen to me. Somebody even said that body and health belonged to themselves and it's up to them to decide whether to smoke or not. I told him calmly, "Even if you have the right to harm your own body, but it doesn't mean that you have the same right to harm others'."
At last, they agreed with me, and some students said that they would never smoke any longer.
For the next one hour, we danced and sang happily, and nobody did smoke again.I felt very happy that my classmate all understood the harmness of smoking.
