张家界是个美丽的地方，景色十分优美。
初进市区，山峰平淡无奇，不料，刚转了一个弯，就发生了日新月异的变化。山峰奇形怪状，这座像乌龟，那座像……
我们乘坐缆车上了黄石寨，一株株苍翠的松树立在一座座孤峰上。因为天气的缘故，树木披上了一层薄霜，天空蓝的像一片湖水，白云白的像一堆雪。
上了黄石寨，我们去了观景台。哇！四周的景色尽收眼底，群山连绵、白云悠悠、阳光柔柔、空气也十分清新，不仅饱了眼福，还饱了鼻福！
接下来我们去了金鞭溪。金鞭溪是一条干净，无污染的溪流。与一个名叫长寿泉的泉水相连。长寿泉是由一个石孔里流出来的泉水和被水冲击腐蚀的水坑组成。
金鞭溪的名字是由金鞭岩命名的。金鞭岩在阳光的照射下闪出一片金光，十分美丽。
