第二天早上，彼得把土地弄得平平整整的，再把种子种下了地，浇水施肥。彼得一天天看着，终于有一天地里冒出来了绿芽！彼得高兴得就打起了百倍精神，更加地把花苗培育好。有时他还会忘了吃饭，手上还会长出血泡，他不顾这些，还是一心只想着种花苗。
花苗一天天长大，一天天长高。到了春末夏初的时候，彼得的花田里热闹非凡，玫瑰花张开了红色的笑脸，郁金香举起了金色的酒杯……人们看到了这些花个个都凑上去闻一闻，再问彼得这花卖不卖？就这样，一传十，十传百几天功夫，花田里的'花差不多卖完了，彼得就把借种子的钱还给了老人家，再买了一些花种在田里。
五年以后，彼得实现了他的梦想，他骄傲的说：“我是唯一找到真金的人！我的金子就在这土地里！”
