冬至的英语小作文【一】

很久很久以前，在七峰山的居民中间有一个可怜的姑娘。她既没有父母，又没有兄弟姐妹，一个人住在一间破烂的土房里，依靠辛勤的劳动维持着生活。她很美丽，就象月宫的嫦娥，又象那南海的观世音。她饲养一头出色的小羊羔作伴。每天早晨，当太阳刚刚照到七峰山顶的时候，她就上山去打柴。小单羔也就紧跟着她，嚼着山上的嫩草，吮着草上的露珠，“咩咩”地为她唱着清脆婉转的晨歌……远近的乡亲们，人人称赞这个姑娘，人人称赞这头羊羔，后来连同城里的.王爷也知道了。

王爷是个凶暴阴脸的家伙，成天就想吃喝玩乐，苦害人民。他一听说这姑娘很美丽，姑娘养的羊羔很出色，立即动了坏念头：他要把姑娘抢来供他玩弄，要剥下羊羔的皮来给他做衣服。

那个姑娘呢？当北风起，大雪飞的时候，她紧忙躲进附近一个山洞里，把她心爱的羊羔抱进怀里，用自己的心温暖着羊羔。谁知这只平日十分温驯的羊羔，忽然从她的怀抱挣扎出来，一直往黑黝黝的山洞深处跑去，转眼跑得无影无踪。

那个老爷爷在一边含笑地看着，说：“你真是个好姑娘！来，给你。”伸手就递给一件东西。姑娘从老爷爷手里接过那东西一看，是块黑色闪亮的石头。不想刚把石头拿在手里，立即感到全身暖烘烘的，不再发抖了。“这是个什么宝贝？姑娘惊吲起来。她想要问问老爷爷，但抬头一看，老爷爷不见了。

山洞外面，风雪已经停了。姑娘走了出来，带着羊羔，踏着厚厚的积雪回家去。她穿得很单薄，但在雪地里一点也不冷，因为身上有了那个黑色的宝贝。看到那满山的积雪，姑娘立刚想起了穷苦的乡亲们，他们既没有遮寒的衣服，又缺少生火的木柴，在这样的大雪天里，一定都冻得不行了。想到这里，也顾不得回家，就直往乡亲们的家里跑去。

到了第一家，只见大大小小蜷缩作一团，都快冻僵了，姑娘忙拿出老爷爷给她的黑石头，分下一块给这家，这家立即暖烘烘的，寒冷被赶跑了她又去了第二家，第三家……一直把老爷爷给她的那块黑石头分完了，一直把所有穷苦的乡亲们都从严寒中救出来了，她才回家。

打这以后，姑娘和穷苦乡亲们一遇到冷天，就进山洞去，向那老爷爷要黑石头取暖，这些人就是最早的矿工。那位白胡须老爷爷，据说就是煤窑神。

为了感谢这个好心姑娘，为了纪念这黑色宝贝的发现。矿工们就把冬至这天当作最隆重的节日。每年冬至，矿工们都要牵一头羊去祭奠姑娘。
