看到水池里面的水呀，简直就是泥浆，黑黑的，还伴着阵阵恶臭。污水再经过细格栅，二次沉砂池，A2/0生物池，紫外线消毒等工序，把水中的污染物排除得一干二净，当我们走到最后的出水口时，只见水清澈见底，一点臭味都没有了，新的水又产生了，流向我们的母亲河——南流江里。
今天的参观让我深深地到，原来地球给予人类的水资源是如此的有限，让我深深地明白了身上的一份责任：节水，爱水，护水！

难得的一次参观污水处理厂的机会，突然降临在了我们班。这不，今天下午，我们就要驱车前往第一污水处理厂参观啦！
一路上，同学们欢声笑语。我激动不己的心也久久不能平静。
不一会儿，几个硕大的装满水的池子渐渐映入了我的眼帘。红白相间的大楼整齐划一，“淮南市第一污水处理厂”几个大字在阳光的照耀下格外显眼。我们下了车，整齐地排好队开始参观。水厂工作人员王老师做我们的向导。
在王老师的.带领下，我们来到了沉砂池。突然，一股恶臭扑鼻袭来，同学们紧锁眉头，掩住鼻子。经王老师介绍，我们知道了沉砂池是还未处理的污水经过的第一道工序，它的作用不可低估，是去除污水内所携带的砂、石与其它的大块物体，防止造成设施淤砂，影响设备正常运转。哦，原来是这么回事，我开始了解一些眉目了。
细格栅到了。这是比较重要的一个环节，也是最脏的一个地方。污泥飘满了整个水池，隐约还能看见一些恶心的藻类。牙刷、瓶盖之类的东西在这里通过截流，排出在工序之外，以保护后续水泵管线正常运行。
紧接着，王老师带领我们登上了阶梯，参观氧化沟。它是污水处理中的重中之重。我站在阶梯上眺望，就数它的场子最大，几条水道交替相连，污水正滔滔不绝地涌来。听了王老师的讲解，我明白了它的主要作用是通过活性污泥中的好氧菌，慢慢地把污水中的大部分污染物当作美味一点一点地吸收，从而达到分解的目的。我高高踮起脚仔细地听王老师讲解：“氧化沟处理后的水源源不断流入了终沉池，在那儿得到彻底地净化处理。”
说到了终沉池，大家三步两步地冲了上去，叽叽喳喳地说个不停，把池子围了个水泄不通。这里的水清澈见底，让人恨不得想上去喝上几口。可是，听了王老师的介绍，那几个跃跃欲试的同学立刻变乖了，因为那只是活性污泥沉在池底，并通过管道及各种手段使污泥和水分解，水是水泥是泥，然后它们就各奔东西了，所以根本没得到彻底净化，当然也就不能饮用。经过了这四道工序，污水处理差不多快结束了，我们又参观了水经过的污泥缓冲池，经过中水监测室的监测就成为实实在在的“中水”了。中水源源不断地流入淮河，使淮河变得更加清澈、洁净，造福子孙后代。
短暂的参观就要结束了，我真有些依依不舍呢。再次回望这令我深思、感叹的地方，我深深感到今天的科学技术正在日益进步，在为我们造福。我相信，不久的将来，我们的城市一定会更加洁净繁荣。
