他尤为喜欢运动，但运动成果却事与愿违，但他仍然不放弃。小刘不但不瘦，反而一个字“胖”，别人嘲笑他，他却置之不理，坚持运动，坚持着理想……
他也喜欢看书。不管是中国的还是外国的，还是故事神话，无论是古代的还是现代的，他都喜欢看，因此别人给他起了一个外号“小书呆”。小刘不仅没有生气，反而高兴坏了，还夸自己上知天文，下知地理，大家都嘲笑他的”虚荣心”，觉得他夸大其辞，而我却很佩服他的毅力。
金无足赤，人无完人。他也有缺点，最令人印象深刻的是爱装酷，这令许多人都非常惊讶，纷纷议论：“这么小的孩子都喜欢装酷，长大还能得了。”其实，他只是每天用梳子把头向后一梳，再喷点香水，就大功告成了。偶尔他还喜欢耍小聪明，每当上数学课，不管会不会，他都跃跃欲试，回答不上来时，惊慌失措，挤挤眼睛向我求助，唉，每当这时候我都替他捏把汗!
他十分狡猾。有一次，我给他颗糖，他也给我一颗糖，可糖刚一入嘴，居然是粉笔头，等我回过神来，他早就溜了，气得我直跺脚，你们说，我这个朋友是不是很狡猾?
