我们大家在学英语的同时。好像忘记了我们的母语。我们这中华民族五千年的悠久历史，老祖宗传下来的文化，魅力好像还抵不过一个“洋鬼子”说的“鬼话”是的，英语的确是国际通用语言。可是这就是我们要冷落我们伟大的母语的\'原因吗？这原因是在不值一提。中文，是世界上能最清楚表达事物的语言，只改变语调，就能变换语义。中国的语言文字叫“汉字”，而英美的语言文字叫“单词”。
这就明显能体现出汉语的意思准确、精练。我本人是回族，但我并不讨厌“汉”语、“汉”话。相反，我却十分崇敬华夏文化，因为我是中国人。
但看现在世态，我们好像不该在打着中华民族的旗子，说我们是龙的传人了。外语肆意横行，把我们老祖宗留给我们的东西，推进了印度洋深处，实在可怕。我最后竭力大喊一句：“我们是中国人！！！”

那一年，应该是1992年吧，当时住的房子取暖不好，室温也就在十度左右吧？在如此低温状态下，年近古稀的母亲手脚均不灵便，甚至连走路都有些困难。现在想起来这些，意中都懊悔不已。那时家境尚好，吃喝用度挺宽裕，为什么就没有想到买一台电暖气？贰角左右一度电亦消费得起，也许是没有如此超前的消费意识吧？
面对母亲艰难、苦涩的生活现状，意中心里也异常难过，但苦于没有解决的办法，一度忧心忡忡。
偶然的机会，意中在书柜里发现了不知是哥哥还是姐姐留下的一本赤脚医生手册与装在一个纸盒里的十几枚长短不一的针灸用针。遂决定对母亲施以针灸，以缓解其疼痛。
说起针灸，意中没有系统学过。这样说也不准确，其实根本没有学过，哪怕是会针灸之人的指点都没有过。甚至都没有见过别人针灸。所有关于针灸的知识，均来自那本赤脚医生手册，根本没有实践经验。好在那本书通俗易懂，而且对穴位的介绍与寻找皆简单明了，并注明每个穴位行针深浅及手法，非常适用。
此前，妻胃痛，姐夫牙疼，意中均尝试着用针灸帮助其缓解，且效果不错。只是没有想过某一天要施之于母亲。
对于针灸，意中始终只限于胳膊与腿部的穴位，从不敢涉及腹背、头颅，那不是意中这样业余之人所能企及的领域。而对于胃痛的足三里、三阴交，牙疼的合谷、列缺、曲池等上下肢穴位，尽可细心大胆而施为。施针前，意中对于腿疾所涉及的阳陵泉、阴陵泉、足三里、三阴交、商丘、行间、足临泣等穴位行针深浅、留针时长等反复琢磨透了，并先在自身这些穴位进行试针，仔细体会酸麻胀痛反映和快提慢刺、慢提快刺效果之不同。
令意中没有想到的是，母亲因为痛感极强，从而使针灸疗效非常显著。有时针还没有刺破皮肤，母亲就有了麻痛感觉，也许是真有效果，也许是疼痛转移吧？也许是两者兼有之吧？反正是行动自如了。而针灸，亦成了每日必不可少的项目。
其实，意中心里明白，母亲之所以同意意中为她实施针灸治疗，完全是出于对意中的疼爱，不忍看着意中为她着急上火。就如她临终之前的\'几日，不让意中离开她的视线，一旦有事离开，她就会大呼小叫埋怨意中不管她了。也许在她暮年的心里，一直与她生活了四十几年的老儿子成了她唯一的倚靠。
所以说，如果不是意中为母亲针灸，换做任何人，相信她都不会同意的。因为她太怕痛了，太难以忍受针刺破皮肤那一瞬间的剧痛了。
记忆里，这样的冬季针灸断断续续进行了几年。1999年，换了新居之后，冬季母亲只穿着短袖衣衫就能过冬，再也没听她说起过手脚酸麻。而每当与外人谈起新居，她不说宽敞明亮，也不说装修档次。只是满足地说，打开水龙头，二十四小时都是热水。这才是她最想最想要的，祈盼的，满意的。
流淌出来的热水，对于现代人来说太自然太简单了。而对于从苦日子走过来的人们，尤其是饱受凉水刺骨穿透并留下病痛的人们，这点热水真值得异常珍惜。
在二十四小时有热水的房子里，母亲只生活了八年就匆匆离开家人而遐举了。每每捧起当年的赤脚医生手册与那一盒针，与母亲一起生活及针灸的一幕一幕，就经久地浮现在意中的脑海，化作一缕一缕的思念，一点一点植入意中的记忆深处，成为永久的痛。
