佳佳，这样一个善良可爱的小姑娘，她住在一个山清水秀的小山村里，却一个人过着孤零零的生活。她每一天靠帮忙村里做些洗洗衣服，割草喂羊的零活维持生活。
在邻村有一个淘气顽皮的小男孩叫小磊，他总这样爱欺负人，经常和同伴打架，没有一个小孩和他玩，每一天小磊都去放自己家的一大群羊，过着自以为很快乐的生活。
在夏末的一个上午，他像往常一样挥着放羊鞭吹着口哨去山上放羊，不一会儿，晴朗的天空好像变戏法似的就阴云密布、雷声阵阵，眼看大雨就要到了，小磊很害怕，立刻赶着羊群跑到他经常来玩耍的小山洞里，他就害怕打雷，吓的直发抖。这时，在山上割草的佳佳也躲到了这个山洞里，大雨点噼哩啪啦地打在了洞外。佳佳捋了捋淋湿的头发，擦了擦脸上的雨珠，背着草筐眼睛焦急地望着洞外的大雨，期盼着快点雨过天晴。“你这样谁？”洞里突然传出一个小男孩的声音，把佳佳下了一跳，回头一看，原先这样一个手拿放羊鞭的小男孩气势汹汹的站在一群羊的前面。佳佳舒了一口气，笑着说：“哦，我叫佳佳，你呢？”“小磊。”“你来那里干什么？”，“避雨呀。”小磊霸道地说：“那里这样我的地盘，我让你来避雨了吗？”佳佳疑惑的看着小磊，“看什么看呀！还没有明白吗？我的意思这样，你不许在那里待着了，猪，快走！”佳佳说：“但这样外面的雨很大，出去会淋病的。”小磊举起了羊鞭大声说：“我管不着，你务必走，不然我就打你了”说完捡起地上的石头就向佳佳打来。佳佳无奈的走进了大雨中。
这时天上的大雨越下越大像瓢泼一样，突然一个震耳的大雷在头顶响起，洞里传来“啊”的一声大叫，佳佳转头向洞里跑去，只见耀武扬威的小磊此时已经吓得抱成一团躲在洞里直哆嗦。见到佳佳立刻冲上去紧紧的拉住佳佳的手说“你别走，我害怕！”佳佳拍着小磊的肩膀柔声地说：“我不走。”
雷声渐渐的小了，雨声也越来越小了，太阳出来了。小磊望了望洞外的阳光，呼吸着清新的空气。又看了看瘦小的佳佳，心里愧疚得不知说什么好。
从此，小磊不但和佳佳成了好朋友，还有了许多新朋友。他们经常到一个叫“晴天”的山洞去玩。
