Mrs. Stokes smiled. I watered her potted plant. My dad pulled out some weeds. People like to help each other on our street. 斯托斯太太微笑了,我给她的盆栽植物浇了水,爸爸把一些杂草拔了出来。这条街道上,人们很乐意帮助他人。

今天是晚报小记者“打工”专场。一百多位小记者拉下脸面,放下采访的专职工作,集体打转在各个“工场”。
要花钱,就得先打工赚钱。工场内的小记者忙碌地工作,外面的小记者排着长队等待着打工,一不留神,你的打工机会就会被别人抢走。在魔法学院,我学了纸牌魔术,以后可以在同学面前耍魔术了。更重要的是赚到了20块麦币,我高兴死了。在考古馆,我小心翼翼地挖着泥土,心里有点紧张。突然,一个人头露出来,我出了一身冷汗,以为是一具千年古尸,原来是兵马俑。太吓人了,还是找轻松点的工作吧!
洗衣服,应该是很容易的,妈妈每天都洗那么多衣服,可就没有听到她说“累”。我们几个小伙伴好不容易才等到了“洗衣工”的工作。洗衣坊的“老板娘”叫我们每人先去打一盆净水。我三步并两步地走到洗手池,用力一扭龙头,水突然喷出来,溅得我一身都是水。打工的衣服还没洗,倒是给自己洗衣服了。我非常沮丧,小伙伴们哈哈大笑,我很不服气,等一下还不知道是谁出丑呢。
水准备好了,“老板娘”让我们拿起手上那块像刚从黑煤堆里取出来的手帕放在水里用手搓。我笑了笑了,这么简单的搓,真是小儿科,有谁不会呢?我不以为然地用力一搓,“啊!”原来我搓的`力气太大了,把水盆给打个底朝天了!盆子太轻太小了,都不够武之地,太狼狈了。
“洗衣服都不会。”张杰笑着说。
“谁说不会?只是我太大力。”我狡辩道。
“你这也太笨手笨脚了吧。”
“我想洗快点,再去做别的,赚多点钱。你看你,动作那么温柔,洗得干净吗?不知洗到什么时候。”
“你看!”张杰指着外面排队的小记者,
“外面还有很多人等着洗呢,怎么会洗不干净呢?就怕被冼烂了。”
我们这帮“打工仔”哈哈大笑起来。
“老板娘”很有耐心地指导:洒一点洗衣粉,再用点力搓衣服,这样才洗得干净。我吸取了上一回的教训,弯下腰,用中等的力来反复搓手帕。果然,手帕被我搓得雪白雪白的。
才二十分钟,我的手已经很累了。才洗了一条小手帕,就累了。在家里,衣服大多数是妈妈洗的,她不是更累吗?不来这里打工,就不知道工作的辛苦,以后还是要分担一些家务才行。
打了几份工,赚到了140块麦币,我真不舍得花,紧紧地攒在手里,生怕被哪个小记者耍魔法卷走了。
