我的'爸爸是一位外科医生，因为医术精湛，工作勤奋努力，所以三十多岁就被提拔为副院长。从此，他的工作量与日俱增，几乎每天都有手术，很多手术都是病人、病人家属一定要求让爸爸做的，放弃休息时间去工作成了平常事。
记得我十岁生日前一天，爸爸对我说：“臻儿，明天是你生日，正好我休息，我去帮你买个蛋糕，咱们晚饭时庆祝一下。”爸爸为我买生日蛋糕，这可是头一回呢！“谢谢爸爸！”我兴奋地说。妈妈走过来问：“要不要买个蛋糕送给你啊？”我得意地笑笑说：“不用了，这次爸爸会买的。”第二天，放学后我兴高采烈地跑回家，从客厅到书房、卧室，找了个遍，爸爸不在。奶奶告诉我，下午三点多时，医院来了个急诊病人，爸爸被叫去了。傍晚，奶奶烧了一桌好菜，我们坐在餐桌旁等待爸爸回来吃晚饭，到六点爸爸还没回来，我有些耐不住了，可想了想还是再等等吧，一直等到七点，我沮丧地摇摇头，哎，爸爸又不能回来吃饭了。他怎么可以这样，昨天说得好好的，说要帮我买蛋糕。现在倒好，蛋糕没吃到，连我的生日晚饭也不回来吃了，这真是最没劲最糟糕的生日。明天他回来我一定要好好说说他。
第二天早晨，爸爸才揉着布满血丝的眼睛回来了，我怒气冲冲地迎了上去：“爸爸，你平时不回来吃晚饭，我不介意，昨天是我生日，而且你答应给我买蛋糕的，怎么说不回来就不回来呀！真是太令我失望了。”爸爸说：“对不起了，臻儿。昨天医院来了个生命垂危的病人，我怎么能不管呢？不过现在总算脱离危险了。”他疲倦地笑笑，走进卫生间洗脸刷牙了。看着他疲惫的背影，我也不好再说什么了。
暑假的一天，我因为有事来到医院找爸爸。我跟在爸爸的后面，认识或不认识的病人、家属都热情地跟爸爸打招呼，仿佛熟识的邻居、朋友似的。来到爸爸的办公室，我发现墙壁上挂满了病人家属送的锦旗，“救死扶伤”，“妙手回春”……哦，也许每一面锦旗的背后都有一个故事吧，这些爸爸从未给我讲过。看着，看着，我突然有点理解爸爸了，一种从未有过的情感在我内心升腾起来，我想大声地告诉每一个人，我的爸爸是个医生！

我的爸爸是一名军人，在空军学院上班，他已经是一名17年的老兵了。我的爸爸个子不高，戴着一副眼镜，显得文质彬彬的，虽然不那么高大威猛，但做起事来却雷厉风行，极其认真，让我又爱又怕。
我和妈妈都说爸爸是典型的工作狂。因为他管理的学员有四五百人，所以他把全部的心思都放在学生身上了，经常是早上我睁开眼睛的时候，他已经上班去了；晚上等他加班回来，我早已进入了梦乡，妈妈常说爸爸是把家当成旅馆的人。最让我伤心的是，每天早上我都要自己背着沉重的大书包去赶校车，看到别的同学轻松地坐在爸爸的自行车上，我真是羡慕极了。而我的爸爸呢，这时早已经出门去护送上课的学员过马路了。妈妈为了这事，常常埋怨爸爸：“放着自己八九岁的儿子不管，那些大学生十八九岁了，还要你护送过马路，有这个必要吗？”这时爸爸一脸严肃地批评妈妈说：“四五百名学生排着队过三环路，无人管理的话，是很危险的。人家的父母把孩子交到咱部队，我们就要对孩子们负起责任来，让他们在家放心，安心！”然后，他会拍着我的肩膀鼓励我：“小峰，你长大了，你是军人的儿子，就要有军人的气魄，要独力自强，不能老是依赖父母，对吧？爸爸相信你，你是个男子汉！”说完，扮个大鬼脸，一溜烟儿地跑下楼去了，弄得我和妈妈哭笑不得。
我的爸爸还很有智慧和胆量，一副热心肠。有一阵子，他发现一个学员老是忧心冲冲，满腹心事，学习也心不在焉的。爸爸找他谈话后才知道，他的妹妹被同学骗到徐州，落入了***的虎口，他天天担心妹妹的安危。爸爸了解了情况后，一边安慰他，一边赶紧找派出所的叔叔们联系，制定了详细的方案后，成功的把学员的妹妹解救了出来，人家后来还给他送来了表扬信呢，我对爸爸的机智勇敢，很是敬佩。
爸爸喜欢博览群书，是个大书虫，一回家到就书不离手，他经常说：“现在是信息时代，不学习就要被淘汰喽。”他加班加点，废寝忘食地跟同事一起编制的全军教学软件，还获得了国家级教学成果二等奖。爸爸虽然工作繁忙，一心扑在工作上，但是对我的'学习还是很关心的，什么奥数难题，到了他哪里都会迎刃而解；我的许多稀奇古怪的问题，也都能在爸爸哪里找到答案。爸爸经常对我说：“我是军人，武艺练不精，不是合格兵；你是学生，就要以勤奋好学为荣，不爱读书，不把学习成绩搞上去，那就不是个好学生，更不是爸爸的好儿子！”
爸爸说他欠我很多，我小时候他很少抱我，大的时候很少陪我，病的时候很少照顾我。爸爸在我梦中渐渐变老，我在爸爸的梦中渐渐长大……
这就是我的军人爸爸，我为有这样的爸爸而自豪，我也一定要让爸爸为我而骄傲！
