守住自己的优点，何必与他人比较，像泰山的雄奇，华山的险峻，大自然给予了它们天生的面容；就像长城的雄伟，金字塔的神秘，我们都给予他们各自的定义。就像历史上的环肥燕瘦。谁都将自己美丽的一面展现给大家，谁也不必把别人的风景移到自己的头上。泰山的雄奇若加以华山的险峻只会掩盖了本来的风采；长城的雄伟无法安上金字塔的神秘；既有杨玉环的丰满又有赵飞燕的瘦腰的女人是可怕的。孟子曰：鱼，我所欲也；熊掌，亦我所欲也，二者不可兼得也。既然是不可兼得，那就让我们守住自己，不要和别人比较。守住自己，否则我们会一无所有。
守住自己，何必在乎其中得一丝缺点，也许是因为那一丝不完美才让自己更真实。哲人不是常说：没有错误的人生是最大的错误吗？当流行细眉毛双眼皮时，你那不完美的丹凤眼或许会为你平添几分妩媚；当靡靡之音盛行时，京剧秦腔或许会为你生命注入一丝豪迈。而正是你人生一次又一次的不完美，使你一步一步地迈向前方，迈向美好。所以说，守住自己，即便是大家看来不美的地方，你才会由不美向美迈进，你才会成为人们心中一道永恒的风景。
