风筝是潍坊古老的民族艺术，也是非物质文化遗产之一。
风筝的种类有很多，有龙头蜈蚣、单线风筝、双线风筝等。各种各样的风筝在空中飘舞，把我们的广场点缀的五光十色。
风筝盛产最多，最精致的地方在杨家埠。那里的风筝博物馆收藏着各式各样的风筝，传统风筝、现代风筝、特技风筝，琳琅满目，让我们尽情的欣赏。
在风筝博物馆里学习到了很多风筝的传说，风筝的创始人是一位叫墨翟的人，他是我国古代著名的哲学家，是我们山东潍坊人，是他创造了第一个木鸢。后来，他把制造方法传给他的学生鲁班，鲁班经过改进，用竹为材料制成竹鸢。最后，风筝一次一次地演变，终于成为了今天的风筝。
现代的风筝结构为纸、丝绢和竹条支架，它的材料、做法都比古代讲究。我们潍坊风筝在制作方法上最具独特性。潍坊风筝的骨架一般用2至3年的毛竹截取竹节长、直的部分扎成，经过劈料、烤型、修整、连接制作而成。潍坊风筝裱糊，需要选用软、薄、轻的优质面料，放入温水泡开。在扎好的骨架四周涂抹乳胶，将面料覆盖到骨架上。选用优质的颜料，采用手绘工艺。我们潍坊风筝以造型合理、色彩鲜艳、起飞平稳，富有民间乡土气息自成一家，在中国风筝史上占据重要地位。
我们潍坊风筝不仅在中国流行，在世界各地也很流行。我作为潍坊人，我非常喜欢我们潍坊的风筝。

从正门进去，过一会儿，便看到剪纸的红色雕塑。这些雕塑惟妙惟肖，各不相同。有关于潍坊风筝的，有关于吉祥如意的，还有关于古代人物的。有一个雕塑上是贾宝玉和林黛玉，那每一个地方都是那么精巧，细致。游人看了，怎能不说美丽呢?
风筝广场不仅有剪纸的红色雕塑，还有关于民间生活的铜制雕塑。这铜雕的内容有制作风筝的，有孩子放风筝的，有在做朝天锅的，还有······其中我最喜欢的，那个小孩子穿虎头鞋的。那虎头鞋像是巨人穿的，小孩子的脚在里面看上去那么小，真好玩!
