One day, Paula and Richard decided to make a kite.
First they went out and found two straight sticks of the same length. They brought them back home and tied them with a piece of string into the shape of a cross. Then they took some string and used it to tie the four ends of the sticks together. Then, they spread some brightly coloured paper over the frame and glued it around the string.They stuck a tail made of paper to one of the corners, and tied a long string to the centre of the kite.
On the next windy day, they took the kite to a hill near their house and flew it.

那天晚上，我写完作业，妈妈说：“我们去超市逛一逛吧。”“好啊，我好久都没逛超市了。”我高兴地说。一路上，爸爸开着车，我和妈妈在车里欢乐地交谈着。不一会儿，超市到了，我们三人兴致勃勃地在超市里逛了起来，还买了好多东西。
回到家，我帮爸爸妈妈把东西从车上搬下来，然后准备帮他们提上楼。我左手提了一桶油，右手还准备再提一袋米时，妈妈连忙说：“只拿一样就行了，油和米都很重，你还太小！”“不要紧，不要紧，我能行的！”我说。最后，妈妈拗不过我，只好让我都提着，她在后面保护我。刚开始，我一边走一边偷笑，呵呵，妈妈真是太小瞧我了，一定要让她看看我的厉害。可是，没走两步，我就觉得手酸了。渐渐地，胳膊越来越沉，步子也没刚开始那么轻快了，走得颤颤巍巍。爬楼梯时，我甚至爬一级就要歇一下。好不容易坚持爬到二楼的家门口，一进门我放下东西就倒在了沙发上，觉得浑身都快散架了。妈妈看到我这样，笑着问：“感觉如何呀？”唉，我已经没力气回答了！
爸爸妈妈平时要做的事更多更累，他们该有多辛苦啊！“谁言寸草心,报得三春晖”，我以后要尽自己的\'能力，多帮妈爸爸妈妈做事，尽量减轻他们的负担，做一个孝顺的好孩子！
