我们大家在学英语的同时。好像忘记了我们的母语。我们这中华民族五千年的悠久历史，老祖宗传下来的文化，魅力好像还抵不过一个“洋鬼子”说的“鬼话”是的，英语的确是国际通用语言。可是这就是我们要冷落我们伟大的母语的'原因吗？这原因是在不值一提。中文，是世界上能最清楚表达事物的语言，只改变语调，就能变换语义。中国的语言文字叫“汉字”，而英美的语言文字叫“单词”。
这就明显能体现出汉语的意思准确、精练。我本人是回族，但我并不讨厌“汉”语、“汉”话。相反，我却十分崇敬华夏文化，因为我是中国人。
但看现在世态，我们好像不该在打着中华民族的旗子，说我们是龙的传人了。外语肆意横行，把我们老祖宗留给我们的东西，推进了印度洋深处，实在可怕。我最后竭力大喊一句：“我们是中国人！！！”

每逢过年的时候是图书馆最热闹的时候，因为我们那里逢年过节都喜欢张贴年画，而当时还不允许出现个体经营，买年画只有去新华书店。所以一到过年，新华书店就挤满了人群，长长的柜台前面人山人海，售货员忙得汗流浃背，应接不暇。
书店里会把最新最美的年画用绳子挂起来，便于人们挑选，色彩丰富，寓意吉祥的年画深得人们的喜欢，贴在家里十分喜庆。所以过年除了贴春联，年画是家家户户必不可少的装饰品。
母亲喜欢的年画寓意吉祥，色彩鲜艳。我记得她买的最多的有一张画着一位慈眉善目的寿星公，边上围着几个捧着寿桃的孩子，还有仙鹤围绕在旁边，活灵活现，仿佛随时振翅欲飞。有一张是一个胖娃娃骑着一条肥大的金鱼，头上顶着一片荷叶，憨态可掬的模样十分可爱。还有一张画着财神公公，边上站着俊俏的金童玉女，周围堆满了金灿灿的金元宝，母亲说把这个贴在家里，可以招财进宝。我也不懂贴上这个究竟能不能招来财宝，只知道这些年画色彩鲜艳，画得惟妙惟肖，十分漂亮。
年画的价格不贵，两三块钱一张，每次母亲去买年画，我都要跟着去挑选。母亲喜欢那些看起来喜庆的，而我小小年纪虽然不懂得什么艺术欣赏，但是从兴趣爱好出发，我比较喜欢花卉和山水画，再不然就是美丽的仕女图了。这些年画买回家以后不但为我们简陋的家增添了几分喜气，还成为我绘画的摹本。喜欢画画的我可以照着临摹几笔，所以我们家的墙上经常会出现几张画的`歪歪扭扭的水彩画，虽然画的不怎么样，但是我却如痴如醉，常常沉浸在自己的世界里，画上一整天。
母亲从来不反对我画画，还不时不时的夸我几句，这就更增添了我对绘画的执着。不光在纸上画，还用粉笔在墙上和地上画，读书的时候碰上不爱听的课，就在课本上画。母亲每次贴新年画的时候，我就会央求她把旧的年画送给我保存，那时候最大的愿望就是当一个画家。
隔壁不知什么时候搬来一位奇怪的邻居，很少出门，大白天也关着门躲在家里。偶尔出门，一身脏兮兮的，满身彩色油漆。时间长了，有几次我跟着胆大的小孩闯进他的家里，发现他原来是一个民间艺术家。猜猜看，他是做什么的呢？呵呵，其实他是画玻璃画的，那时候家里的大衣柜上面都有一面镜子，他就是在这镜子上画玻璃画的人。
那时候生活比较单调贫乏，大家就突发奇想，在大衣柜的镜子上面画上玻璃画，也很美。随着时代的进步，这种艺术失去了价值，也消失不见了。而现在的人又创新了沙画，我看过，很神奇的作画方式，变化多端。不过当时玻璃画是很流行的，我很好奇他的作画方式。我发现他家里有很多的瓶瓶罐罐，里面装着各种颜色的油漆，是他用来作画的颜料。地板上还堆满了玻璃，他把油漆调匀，然后用大大小小的毛笔开始作画。这个人会画很多图画，画的最多的是梅花和老鹰，一枝弯弯曲曲的枝干上，寥寥几笔，就点缀出了一朵朵深色梅花，看似简单，其实要有很深的功底才能画好。他画的老鹰也很有神韵，展翅高飞的雄鹰俯瞰着地面的山峦，一双锐利的眼睛随时捕捉猎物。
别的小孩经常嬉笑打闹把画家的玻璃打碎了，他也不生气，照样专注于他的绘画。偶尔抬头，发现我同样专注于他的画笔，就笑着说，等我长大了，要收我为徒。为此我欣喜若狂，兴许我的画家梦就能实现了吧。
还没等我长大，玻璃画已经不流行了，画家也搬走了。我为此失落了好久，时常闷闷不乐，自己一个人胡乱作画。而如今，年画独领风***的时代也过去了，家家户户张贴的是更精美的艺术品。但是关于年画的记忆和童年的艺术梦想一直尘封在我的心底，成为美好的回忆。
