中国有一句古话：“少时不读书，老来空白首”，世间万物，皆是身外之物，唯有书才能够洗涤你的灵魂;炽热你的激情，充实你的人生。书籍是人类进步的阶梯，我们只有多读书，才能了解每本书的精华，学习重要的知识，才能在心灵的交流中思如泉涌，思考得更透彻，理解的更具体。
读书的确给了我许多的改变，之前我在二、三年级时，常常作文是全班倒数第一，作文得不了十分，因为我不会写，那时，老师便向我推荐了一本《小学生优秀作文选》要我天天认真地看每篇，结果我一学期后，作文竟常常被当做范文来讲，如我以前写秋天来了，就会这样写：秋天来了，落叶落了。现在的我可不会那样干巴巴、枯躁地写了，“秋姑娘带着满身的香气来到了人间，她只用手中的魔法棒对着叶子们挥了几下，它们就换上了黄色的礼服，一个劲的跳下去，参加大地妈妈的庆功宴，发出‘咔嚓’‘咔嚓’的笑声”。没想到，当时的一本小小的作文书，竟然对我有着不可思议的影响，从此我也就喜欢上了读书，把它看成一种兴趣爱好，也给自己定了个座右铭：一日无书，百事荒芜!
英国作家菲尔丁曾告忠：“不好的书也像不好的朋友一样把你伤害。”没想到这句话竟好像是针对我的，最近我读了一本叫《骄傲王》的故事书，读完之后，我还深深地念叨着那些动人的场景，这也使我骄傲了起来，后来经过一次月考，令我失望了下来，连班里前二十名都没考进去，这使我立刻灰心了，平时高昂着头，现在也只能耷拉着“尾”之后朋友送我《东山再起》、《谦于人》两本书，使我又明白一个道理：谦虚使人进步，骄傲使人落后，从实际上说，谦虚是一种美德，只有谦虚才会使自己更进步!
因此，我又知道读书不仅可以丰富人的知识，增长人的智慧，更能用精炼的文字说明一个大道理，我又要忍不住说：“读什么样的书，有什么样的梦，多读一些课外书，就是给精神补充‘五谷杂粮’。”
人的影响短暂而微弱，书的影响广泛而深远，这句说明读书的永恒的力量，我的.表弟证明了这句话是对的，前些日子他喜欢读童话书，但只注意重点情节，不在乎每篇故事告诉读者的道理，我便送了他本《小故事大道理》，几天后，不论我从书上怎么挑一篇故事他都能讲出其中让人深思的大道理，解释了它的意思，既使我别的书上找他也能答对。所以，我觉得多读书，读好书，才能够做到题上应用，题下实践的好效果。
读书是一种美的享受，当我沉浸在书的乐园时，不可思议就会发生。读书让我走进了情感的世界，沈石溪的《第七条猎犬》让我感受到了动物的灵性与情感，它毫无遮掩地直接表现丑陋与美丽融于一体的原生态生命。
这几年来，我被书所感染了，被它熏陶了，我的文学功笔得到了保证，读书使我的写作能力提高了，我更懂得了那些人生的大道理，书在我放弃时给予我坚持，书在我灰心时给予我鼓励，书在我迷茫时给予我正确的指导。
我对读书是渴望的，因为书籍是全世界的营养品，生活里没有书籍，就好像大地没有阳光;智慧里没有书籍，就好像鸟儿没有翅膀。曾经有人问过我一个问题：“书就是几张纸几个字，有什么好的呢?”我一本正经地说：“书虽小，但如同闪烁的宝石，在微小的文字中蕴含着巨大的价值。”我在课余时间，大部分会青睐地读书，那是在给心灵洗澡，使头脑得更加畅快，在这些年的读书生活中，读书好像在种一杂花，一开始只是一点小绿苗，后来慢慢、细心培养就会成为一朵金枝玉叶，万“花”瞩目的七色花。
读书使我的写作能力提高，使我明确了人生的价值，使我学到了许多品质，书对我的帮助是很大的，但是书像一个不爱张嘴的朋友，只有你走进它的内心深处，去细细品读，它才会给人乐趣，才会给人光彩，才会给人才干。
打个比方，每个人的精神就好像是被上帝啃过的半颗苹果，只有读书，才能丰富你的剩余时间，只有读书才能填补你精神上的空缺!
读书对我来说是一件幸福的事，我对读书的热情会永远像那朝阳发出的光芒一样。我们对待读书，就要生命不息，攻读不止。

有人说：“阅读并不局限于书本。也可以阅读山，阅读海，阅读清晨，阅读黑夜。更可以阅读政治文化，阅读情感，甚至阅读一棵树，阅读一片云，阅读一个人……
阅读的东西是多种多样的，阅读的内容也是丰富多彩的，阅读也是因人而异的，我喜欢看大自然的风景，喜欢阅读山，阅读湖，阅读瀑布，阅读草原……
我喜欢阅读山，说到山，就不得不说五岳之首——泰山。高耸入云，峰峦雄伟，而登上泰山之顶，则会有“会当凌绝顶，一览众山小”的豪迈。庐山则更多了一份神秘莫测的感觉，正如苏轼说的：“横看成林侧成峰，远近高低各不同，不识庐山真面目，只缘身在此山中。”“两岸青山相对出，孤帆一片日边来。”天门山却多了一份安静。
我喜欢湖。“欲把西湖比西子，淡妆浓抹总相宜。”西湖不管是晴姿雨态还是花朝月夕，都是美妙无比，令人神往。水天相接、广阔无垠的洞庭湖则是另一番美景，“遥望洞庭山水翠，白银盘里一青螺。”
山似一位巨人巍然挺立，湖似一位仙子闭月羞花。来到祖国的大西北，看到的是茫茫的戈壁滩，天与地浑黄一色。“大漠孤烟直，长河落日圆。”望着眼前的茫茫黄沙，想到的是古时坚守边关的战士，忍受着思乡之苦，可是一旦来到战场，浑身透着“黄沙百战穿金甲，不破楼兰终不还”的英雄气概。不过如今，西部却以全新的姿态迎接着美好的未来。
来到草原，空气是那么清新，天空是那么明朗，一碧千里而并不茫茫。牛羊成群，悠然自得地在小丘上上下下。小丘的线条是那样柔美，到处翠色欲流，山丘之上，云雾缠绕，好一副美丽的
读万卷书，行万里路。行走在山水之间，徜徉在历史的长河中。一花一草一世界，一朝一夕大造化。爱山水，爱阅读，阅读可以让我们的旅行走向长远。
