一个炎热的中午，我准备打电话给爸爸，叫他回家的时候给我买雪糕。“嘟—嘟—嘟”电话很快就拨出去了，我心里砰砰地跳，不知道爸爸会不会同意。
哪知，电话那边传来一个熟悉的声音。我对那个人说：“我找向ＸＸ。”“对不起，他不在。”我觉得很奇怪，向ＸＸ是我爸爸，怎么可能不在？经过反复询问，原来电话线出了问题，我跟１３年后的自己通上了电话。
于是，我好奇地问：“你现在是什么职位？”“不算好哇，只是一个公司的普通职员。”电话那边用遗憾的语气回答到。顿时，我脑袋一片空白，无言以对。电话那边又说：“就因为你读小学不用功，读高中不用功，最后没考上理想的大学。”
我又问：“那总经理是谁？”
“是叶梓。”
“可他学习还不如我呢！”
“虽然他没有你聪明，但他进步非常快，被董事长看重，所以他当上了总经理！”
我脑海里突然出现叶梓在课堂上的表现，每当老师提问时，他总是把手举得高高的，虽然偶尔会回答错误，但他总是在课间休息时，安安静静地在教室里，仔细思考课堂上不理解的问题。想到这儿，我感到无比惭愧。
未来的我又说；“你知道为什么我只是一名普通员工吗？虽然我学习成绩比叶梓好一点儿，但我少了一股努力和坚持的劲头。”
我和未来的自己聊了很久，直到傍晚才挂断电话。我又回到小书桌前，已经忘掉了叫爸爸买冰淇淋的事。我握住笔，自己对自己说：“我一定要努力，把握住自己的未来。”
