王老吉凉茶始创于1828年，是传承185年的正宗凉茶，是中国传统的历史文化的精粹之一。但是，去年多条“全国销量领先的红罐凉茶改名加多宝”、“王老吉改名加多宝”的相关广告出现在全国各大电视媒体及地面宣传上，这不但让“王老吉”品牌蒙受了不白之冤，同时也给消费者带来了巨大困扰。
我们不得已开始了艰辛的维权之路，希望能以法律捍卫“王老吉”品牌的'合法权益。2013年1 月 31日，广州市中级人民法院认定加多宝公司实施了虚假宣传、误导消费者的行为，向其下达了诉中禁令。然而由于加多宝公司巨资投入虚假广告宣传,使得消费者产生了混淆,品牌损失难以弥补。我们不得不在红罐王老吉罐身上及相关广告中提及“185年王老吉从未更名” 以正视听。
而今天，经过近一年的审理与焦急等待，广州市中级人民法院宣判，让王老吉“被改名”案终于有了结果。法院判定“全国销量领先的红罐凉茶改名为加多宝”等属于虚假宣传，加多宝公司要立即对上述宣传予以撤回，赔偿广药经济损失1081万元，并公开道歉。
法律最终为王老吉伸张了正义，但在这一年的时间里，加多宝已经通过改名广告、借王老吉品牌的商誉换取了自己的利益,王老吉在品牌和市场都遭受了巨大的损失。我们在此期间不但要消除加多宝虚假广告的负面影响，还要全力以赴做强做大王老吉凉茶,期间困难重重、难度巨大。
所幸，有了你们的支持与鼓励，我们才得以在各种困难面前坚定信念,努力前行。2013年王老吉凉茶将实现150亿元的目标，明年将突破200亿元，未来，我们将加倍努力，以最优质的产品和服务回馈广大消费者。同时，我们也再次呼吁公平竞争，共同促进凉茶产业的快速健康发展。
