有一次，他发抖的手没有把瓦钵端紧，落到地上打破了。媳妇骂他，但是他不说什么，只是叹气。媳妇用几分钱，给他买了一个木碗，叫他用它吃饭。
有一次他们夫妇坐着，四岁的小孙子在地上把小木板收集到一块。父亲问：“你在做什么?”孩子回答说：“我做一个小碗;等我长大了，叫爸爸和妈妈用它吃饭。”
