洋洋是个刻苦的女孩儿，她家很穷，她的爸爸生了很重的病，无法起床；她妈妈每天辛苦的干活，为家里赚来一点点钱。每当洋洋想帮妈妈时，妈妈却又总是说：“洋洋啊，妈妈知道你是个孝顺的孩子，但如果你不上学，妈妈就是死了也闭不上眼啊！”
一次，洋洋妈妈攒够了钱，让洋洋去给爸爸买药。但在买药的路上，洋洋看到一个阿姨病倒在地上，她赶紧用买药的钱救了阿姨。同学们知道了以后，都纷纷把自己的零花钱捐给洋洋。其实，洋洋救下的阿姨正是磊磊的妈妈，但磊磊觉得父母很穷，怕他们给自己丢脸，不肯承认他们。后来，磊磊的妈妈去世了，磊磊这才明白，为自己付出了生命的妈妈是多么的伟大。
看了这场演出，我明白了三个做人的道理：第一，父母是给予我们生命的`天使，他们努力的守护着我们，我们一定要体谅他们，做力所能及的事情来帮助他们，做一个像洋洋那样孝顺的孩子；第二，无论贫穷还是富贵，家都是我们生命的港湾，我们不能像磊磊那样，嫌贫爱富、爱慕虚荣，失去了才知道后悔；第三，朋友是我们生命中重要的源泉，给予我们前进的力量，我们不要因为小事情和同学斤斤计较，更不能嫉妒朋友，做一个团结友爱的孩子。
我会像洋洋那样，爱护身边的每一个人、每一件物，做一个宽宏大量、助人为乐的好孩子，长大成为有用的人，为祖国争得荣誉。

Father had a family of sons who were perpetually quarrelling among themselves. When he failed to heal their disputes by his exhortations, he determined to give them a practical illustration of the evils of disunion; and for this purpose he one day told them to bring him a bundle of sticks.
