绕过广场，我与妈妈又来到了莲花池，莲花池也叫荷花池。夏天，荷花像一个个翠玉做大圆盘，有高出水面，有贴在水面上，高高低低铺满了湖面。荷叶看上去又像一个个碧绿大圆盘，有像飞碟，有像一把伞。无边无际荷叶碧色连天。荷叶姿态也各不同，有像在睡觉，躺在宽大荷叶上进入了梦乡；有弯着身子，像在给夏哥哥招手，给太阳公公问好；还有挺直细细腰，像在聆听着大自然声音；有花瓣张开了自己美丽笑脸，似乎在告诉我们：“看看我笑脸吧！是多么漂亮呀！”而有还是花骨朵。饱胀马上要破裂了似。真是漂亮极了！
