summer can be very hot in southern taiwan where the temperature usually goes up to 32"c or more. because of the heat it is a trying experience to go to school or do anything else in a place that is not air-conditioned. also because of this i stay at home most of the time during the summer vacation and only occasionally go to the beach to plunge myself into the cool water as a way to keep my body less sticky.
actually i like swimming and think nothing is more refreshing than a swim. in the summer vacation that has just ended i went swimming many times with my classmates and we all had a good time. this summer vacation, however, was not spent entirely in seeking fun. as a second-year senior student i had to prepare myself for the college entrance examinations that were only a year away. in other words, i must find time to study, too.
so i divided my time between work and play during the summer vacation and derived much benefit from this arrangement.

我看着在象山海边捡到的小贝壳，回想起了在海边的那段快乐时光。早晨，爸爸开车带着我们一家和姑姑一家去了象山海边玩。到了那儿，妈妈给我换成了雨鞋。海风咆哮着，送来阵阵寒气，冻得我手脚冰凉。一看爸爸，被冻得瑟瑟发抖。我想：动起来就不会冷了。于是，我拿来两把铲子，和姐姐一起挖起了通向大海的水道……
我们挖了一条短短的水道，通向一个小“水坝”。水道和“水坝”都用沙子围起来，只在入水口开了许多小孔。这时候，风大了，海水涨潮了。我们飞快地跑回岸边，看着海水进入水道，在小“水坝”里汇成小湖，再慢慢地从缝隙中流回大海。
在沙滩上玩够了就去了远处的海中小岛。岛的上面有条小路，直通向坐船的地方。我们可不去坐船!我们小心翼翼地在边上的石头上一步一步靠向海边、接近浪花。在海边我们拍了许多照片。我最喜欢的就是我站在四周环水的小石头上，妈妈捕捉下的“浪花飞石”的那一个瞬间。那一瞬间也和我紧握的小贝壳一样，是它，记下了我那美好的回忆。
海边，可以游泳，可冬天，你一定认为没有好玩的'吧。其实，并不是。只是你没有发现它的美。你看，我的这次象山海边之行就是如此地让我难忘。

这个周末是开学的第一个周末，爸爸和妈妈带我去象山石浦的沙滩上玩了。经过两个多小时的车程来到目的地。一到石浦，我就闻到了一股浓浓的鱼腥味和咸咸的海水味。一艘艘大大小小的渔船停靠在岸边，红红的旗帜在空中飘扬。吃过中饭，我们到了中国渔村。里面有大大的阳光沙滩，妈妈帮我换上泳衣，在海边游玩，我喝了几口海水，原来海水是咸的，一会儿去海里冲浪，一会儿在沙滩上走来走去，还有很多的小贝壳被海水冲上来。
时间过的很快，一下子就到傍晚了，我们回到了宾馆里，第二天，爸爸和妈妈带我去象山的影视城，听说有很多的片子都在那里拍的，我也去那里做一回演员吧，时间过了很快，两天一下子就过去了，我们开车子回到了家。

今天我们四年级同学参观了位于萧山高教园区的浙江旅游职业学院。真没想到，浙旅院居然是国家级4A级景区，那里优美的景色和悠久的文化吸引了我们。
一走进学校大门，几座高大的建筑物映入眼帘。那儿就是行政中心和图书馆。
经过图书馆旁茂密的树丛和长满青苔的弯曲小路，我们来到一座民宅，那儿就是遂园。遂园的建筑别具一格，我们在展柜里欣赏了许多精美的民间工艺和剪纸作品。
随后，讲解员阿姨把我们带进了旅游博物馆，那儿有四个展厅，向我们介绍了古今中外的旅游景点和旅游历史，大家听得津津有味，真是大开眼界！
往北走去，一座崭新的教学楼立在眼前。它有一个奇怪又洋气的名字——“歌诗达中心”。因为它的内部是歌诗达公司用一比一飞机模型建造的实训室。一楼被打扮成机场的模样，二楼是一个游轮模型，三楼则是泡茶沏茶的实训室，陈列着一个能“打印”手机壳的“打印机”，这可是旅院很珍贵的物品哦。
走出歌诗达中心，清澈的华夏湖迎接了我们。两只黑天鹅在湖面上自由自在的嬉戏，我们在湖边喂小鱼，黑天鹅也忍不住来凑热闹，争抢小鱼的面包。
美丽校园里，大学生哥哥姐姐们三五成群，说说笑笑，朝气蓬勃地从我们身边走过。我们也迫不及待地来到他们的操场野餐，参观南校区的高科技宿舍，厨师实训室、导游实训室……还好奇地走进他们的教室，玩“站和坐”的游戏。
相信若干年后，我们也会像哥哥姐姐那样，在像浙旅院这样充满活力的校园中学习成长！

8月1日，我们全家和爸爸单位的同事一起去象山南田岛旅游。
听爸爸说，南田岛是宁波的第一大岛屿，一路上我充满了好奇和向往，由于是第一次去南田岛，路上费尽周折，不知过了多少座桥，翻了多少座山，终于到达了目的地，南田岛一个小山村的美丽的沙滩上。望着无边无际的大海，我迫不及待地换上泳衣，一会儿去海里冲浪，一会儿在沙滩上走来走去，看看有没有小贝壳被海浪冲上来。我穿着救生衣浮在海面上玩，突然来了一个大浪把我冲翻了，我想用仰泳游回海滩，可又一个大浪打来，我喝了很多咸咸的海水，很不好受，幸好我很幸运，一个小浪把我冲回了岸边。我有点害怕，不敢到脚不着地的海里玩了，就在沙滩上玩沙子，找贝壳……天色暗了起来，我们就从搭好的帐篷里拿出烧烤用的工具和食品，在海边的一个小草棚里开始烧烤，烧烤的食物很丰富，我们各司其职，有的负责生火，有的串食物，有的烤食物……
沙滩上还有一群外地来的驴友也在烧烤，听说他们还要在海边的帐篷上过夜，我们玩得非常开心，一直到很晚才回宾馆休息。
海滩的景色真的不错，我希望以后学好游泳，能勇敢地在大海畅游。

the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them.
then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.
