近日，我和哥哥姐姐坐车去开平参观游览。
自力村中最精美的碉楼是铭石楼，铭石楼为四角悬挑塔楼，高6层，周围全是美丽的花草树木围着。
走进碉楼，只见首层为厅房，没有什么珍贵物品。
上到2楼，我的目光立刻被那幅刺绣画吸引住了，三楼、四楼也各有一幅这种画，只见画面色彩缤纷、手工精巧、古色古香。没等我细看，哥哥又叫我了：“弟弟，看！留声机！”这东西，我在电视上见得多了，可亲眼看，还是第一次呢！喇叭就像朵花一样，多可爱啊！
导游一边跟我们解说，一边带领我们到处参观。五楼则是祭祖场所，六楼平台上有一中西合璧的六角形瞭望亭。导游姐姐用手指了指墙上的一扇“小窗户”，“这呀，是枪眼！它不仅可侦察敌情，还可以把枪架在这里瞄准敌人射击呢！”导游姐姐边说边指了地上的一个长方形洞，“这也可作侦察敌情所用，还可以朝下扔手榴弹，炸得敌人开花！”
碉楼高大壮观，就好像一个巨人一动不动地屹立在乡间的田野中。走进古色古香的碉楼，只见碉楼内所有的物品还是很久以前的摆设，后堂闲雅温馨，厅堂摆放洋盆浴缸，真高雅！
碉楼周围景色优美。有香气四溢的荷花池，有养满金鱼锦鲤的鱼池,有茂盛的树木,还有五颜六色的菊花,山光景色多么美丽啊!就好像眼前出现了一幅绝美丽的图画,让人陶醉。
开平碉楼是一部内涵丰富的书，细细读之回味无穷，开平碉楼更是人文景观和自然景观独特的景区，不可不游。

如今我最深刻的楼就是方氏灯楼，方氏灯楼在开平市的塘口镇塘口此北面的山坡上，原名叫“古溪楼”后人改为方氏灯楼，这座楼高5层，钢筋混凝土结构，第3层以下灯之处，第4层为桃台敞廊，第5层楼是由西洋式穹窿顶的亭阔，楼内面配有值班预警的西方早照灯，枪械房是典型的碉楼，楼里有10多名消防队员长期在守碉楼，他们配有当时先进的枪械，有七光枪，还有两支从美国购进的马枪。后来不在第一层楼设置了发电机，楼顶设有盏探照灯。如果有土匪来打劫，守卫人就开着探照灯照射土匪，然后通知村民，采取反击行动。以后土匪再也不敢来这里轻举妄动了。

被誉为“碉楼之乡”的开平，拥有一千多座碉楼，其中最古老的一座就是坐落于赤坎三门里的迎龙楼。也许从各种图片中看到的迎龙楼，大概都是墙身暗哑，设计简单的一座碉楼。虽不如瑞石楼的金碧辉煌，方氏灯楼的风韵犹存，但，迎龙楼见证了开平四百多年的历史，见证了开平碉楼的发展历程。
去年暑假，我曾经参观过迎龙楼。从村口走到迎龙楼，需穿过村中的小巷。小巷就是村民房屋之间的小路。村民们的房屋外墙都贴上了仿古的青砖，虽是仿古，但古韵不减。走到小巷的尽头，看到的是一座气势宏伟的碉楼——那就是迎龙楼，高三层，门两旁的是“迎猫瑞稔，龙虎气雄”，这大概是主人希望丰收，希望龙、虎守护他的意思吧！仔细一看，那历史的印记还清晰可见——墙上的小坑，不仅是时间的侵蚀，而更多的是保卫村民的痕迹。墙身后1米左右，这更突出了迎龙楼的保护作用。
民国时期，社会不宁，盗贼猖狂，迎龙楼便是村民们的庇护所。后来，开平人们迫于生计，纷纷漂洋过海，到国外谋生。同时，为了保护家人的安全，建成了像迎龙楼那样就有中外特色的碉楼。
从迎龙楼开始，数百年来 ，碉楼守护着开平人民的生命安全，见证着开平沧海桑田的变化。也从那时起，开平人民与碉楼结下了不结缘。如今，开平碉楼如一颗颗璀璨明珠，在侨乡大地上发光发亮。同时，碉楼向世人证明了开平劳动人民的智慧，华人华侨的赤子情怀。
