注册那天，男孩走进了教室，边跟班主任办理有关手续边打量着整间教室。然后，他看见了女孩。
她就坐在教室中间，穿着一身素雅的裙子，两束黑发拖在胸前，独自一人。而在她身边的人，都是三五成群的聚在一起聊天，是旧识。
男孩突然有了一种亲切的感觉，原来这也有和他一样是从别校的初中考来的。他知道自己的性子，一直在担心会交不到朋友。现在好了，他或许可以和她交朋友。这是规律，如果身边的多是互相认识的，那最容易交的朋友是和自己一样与多数人不相识的那个。
可是，与他有着担心不同，女孩微弯着眼，扬着浅笑，不知道在想些什么，却是相当的自得，似乎并不在乎那独自一人的寂寞。
男孩记住了这个女孩。
女孩有一个很男孩的名字，这让男孩很是惊奇。因为在看新生分班表时，他便注意到了那个有些特别的名字，一直念叨着想知道那名字的主人是谁，却从未想过会是位女孩。
他对女孩在进入高中的第一天就有了深深的印象。刻在心头，抹之不去。
女孩很男孩子气，总是可以看见她和班里那些最有活力的男生玩在一起，甚至会为了一块抹布追着男生从四楼跑下一楼，再跑回四楼。
女孩很有活力，班里常能听见她的叫声，与别人的争执声，还能看见她跳到别人身上去掐对方的脖子，但每每都是气势骇人，手中无力。
女孩很爱笑，微笑、轻笑、柔笑、大笑、狂笑。她的笑声总是一串一串的扬起，溢满整间教室。
男孩总是注意着女孩。看着她在课堂上偷看漫画，看着她轻松自如地应付地理老师的刁钻问题，看着她认真的尽着值日生的责任，看着她笑，看着她闹，看着她只有在成绩不好时才偶有的、却是转瞬即逝的沮丧。
男孩是个内向的人，总是默不吭声，让人很难注意到他的\'存在。所以他很羡慕女孩的开朗，觉得她像一团光似的吸引着人的靠近。
那时，对女孩而言，男孩只是一个同班同学，一张认识的脸，一个有印象的名字。
一次，班里组织去春游，女孩谗嘴，背包里塞了很多东西，很沉。男孩走在女孩身后，听见她抱怨着肩上的包太重，说男生应该发扬绅士风度，主动帮女孩子拿包。男孩的口开开合合好几次，好不容易才鼓足了开口的勇气：“我来……”

这几个字还不及说出口，女孩已蹦到了她的男生朋友那，把她自己的包毫不客气的丢给了对方，嚣张的命令他负责她的行李。于是，男孩便失落的看着那男生一边和女孩斗嘴一边乖乖的将她的包背起。
女孩转了回来，扬笑：“你刚刚有对我说什么吗？”
“……没、没有。”男孩有些结巴的回道。
女孩扁扁嘴，耸耸肩：“奇怪，我听错了？”
背包的男生叫了她一声，女孩便对男孩笑了笑，回到那男生身边。男孩仍可以听到女孩嚣张的声音，以及男生的反驳和……微微的宠溺。
女孩有时是很嚣张的，但分寸素来拿捏得极好，从不会惹人厌恶，反成了她可爱的一部分。
高二时，文理分班了。女孩选择了理科虽出乎很多人的意料，但她的好成绩仍是让她顺顺当当的进了重点班。男孩也选择了理科，进的却是普通班。
女孩仍留在四楼，男孩却去了五楼。
两人从此很少有见面的机会。

第二天，小女孩忍着病痛跑得了第一名，跑完以后，她昏倒了，电视机前的小男孩看到了，哭了起来，拄着拐杖，跌跌撞撞地跑进了赛区，抱着小女孩哭了起来……
