傍晚，小雅的妈妈一回到家，便是这一幅场景：小雅跑到妈妈的跟前，眼里含着晶莹的泪花，大声地说：“妈妈，我虽然没被推选为主持人，但是我还要为那些被选上的主持人们鼓掌喝彩。”说罢又顿了顿，抽泣着说：“这真是一次难忘的主持人竞选，我永远不会忘记台上的那些主持人们的身影。”
小雅与好友小月紧紧地握着手，额头上不断地冒出汗滴，可能是第一次上台参加比赛吧，小雅显得有些紧张，可反观好友小月，一脸坦然、淡定，仿佛参加过好多次似的。怎么办，怎么办？就快到我了！稿子，稿子呢？心里乱乱的，脑子砰的一下才想起来准备好的竞选稿去哪里了，手忙脚乱的寻找起来。好不容易找到了，原来在座位底下！
暗自抹了一把汗，抬头正好望见上台竞选的好友小月，小雅不由得又愣住了：她身着一件雪白的过膝裙，风一吹，裙上的.蕾丝飞舞起来，像飘落的雪；头发全部盘起，头别两朵纯白色的茉莉，显得有些空灵，像一个活泼的精灵。她露出甜甜的笑容，流利而又不失情感地把竞选词念了出来，每一个字、每一句话都包含真挚的情感，小雅望着忘情演讲的小月，仿佛觉得这里不是学校，而是真正的舞台，小月就在那里，最高的舞台上忘情地演讲着。小雅打心底里为自己最好的朋友而自豪。小月的表现十分出色，分数高过了前面参赛的所有选手，当上主持人的希望很高。
一位又一位选手竞选完毕，终于到了小雅。小月坐在一旁，握着小雅的手说：“没关系的，放轻松就行了。如果实在紧张的话，就把下面的所有人想象成“大白菜”，轻松上阵吧！”小月的话似乎激励了小雅，“下一个，21号，小雅。”“在。”小雅起身，来到舞台右侧，准备上台。“接下来参加竞选的选手是21号，小雅。”小雅缓缓走上台，望着下面的人群，大白菜！大白菜！全部都是大白菜！！小雅在心中默念。对着台下微笑，按照记忆中的稿子背着，额头上一直不停冒着汗。往右一看，正好对上小月含笑的眸子，那双眼中充满了鼓励与加油，小雅不禁更有信心，更加投入的演讲起来。直至结束。
小雅与小月在台下等待着成绩的公布。一定要选上！一定要选上！！小雅默念着。期待已久的成绩终于统计完毕，评委手中拿着的那张纸就记录着主持人的姓名，大家都死死地盯着那张纸，恨不得把它捅出个洞来。“结果出来了，选上的同学有：小月……”直到4个名字全部念完，小雅还是没有发现自己的名字，心里不禁一阵失望。好友小月安慰道：“小雅，没事的，你今天已经表现的很好了，只是比选上的人稍微落了一点点而已，下次更加努力，争取我们一起站在六一节的舞台上吧！加油！”小月比了个“加油”的手势，便离开了。
即使落选了，也要为那些选上的人们喝彩！因为他们值得，他们值得让我们喝彩！就凭他们对主持的热爱与感情。小雅永远也不会忘记这次竞选，难忘的竞选！

By the time you read this you will be 30. At the age of 18 I had so many hopes and dreams about where you'd be, what you'd be doing and with whom you'd spend your life with.
Right now I hope that you have traveled and seen everything you've always wanted to, both in Canada and overseas, and maybe even settled down somewhere in Australia doing some research in the field of biology (genetics.
I hope you're married to the man of your dreams. The man of mine is Gwynn. He is originally from South Africa (another place I wish to visit.
You'll probably have two children of your own – a girl(Michaela Anne and a boy (name yet to be decided.If everything goes according to plan you'll be living in Australia in a big house in a small town outside of a big city with a lot of land, a dog, Gwynn and your two beautiful children. Hopefully you have a career in the medical field, maybe doing research in genetics. Gwynn will be a computer programmer and you will be doing alright for yourselves.
However, if things don't go according to plan for you, I wish you all the love, happiness and joy in the world and don't settle for anything less than the best since that is absolutely what you deserve.
