盼啊盼，总算把除夕盼来了。我之所以盼望除夕，不仅因为除夕是团圆过年，更是因为我的生日也在除夕这天！
我们村里有个习俗，除夕这一天每家每户都要打扫卫生，迎接崭新一年。我家当然也不例外，你瞧！妈妈一大早就在屋子里大显身手，只见她打好井水，系上围裙，拿起抹布，跪在地板上，熟练地擦着地板。一会儿又见她站在凳子上，一手拿着抹布，一手拿着旧报纸，一遍一遍擦玻璃窗。虽然外面天气有点冷，但我发现妈妈的额头上冒出了热气，汗珠从她的脸颊上滴了下来。

弟弟好像听懂了，他二话没说，拿起抹布，就到自己的房间认真的打扫起来。我也拿着抹布，开始了房间大清理。一会儿坐着擦，一会儿跪着擦，一会儿躺着擦。擦完地板，我又擦窗户。这擦窗户可大有讲究呢！妈妈以前说过：“擦窗户时，你得先用湿抹布把玻璃擦干净，为了防止擦干后玻璃上有水迹，再用废报纸把玻璃擦干，这样玻璃才会不仅没有水迹，而且很干净。”很快，窗户也擦干净了，向窗外望去，太阳公公好像在夸我勤劳呢！
晚上，我们一家人其乐融融的吃着团圆饭，妈妈开心地夸我和弟弟能干。看到妈妈脸上幸福的笑容，我也开心的笑了，我和妈妈说，以后我的每个生日，我都和弟弟帮你一起大扫除，我喜欢除夕大扫除。
