“去看南京长江大桥。”听到爸爸的话，我高兴地跳了起来。在学习了课文《南京长江大桥》后，我当时就有一个愿望：一定要到上面去看看那雄伟壮观、引国人自豪的大桥。坐在公共汽车上，上了引桥，一眼望去，大桥像一条银色的长龙，蜿蜒着伸向远方。
“吱——”终于到了南京长江大桥南桥头堡，下了公共汽车，眼前车辆川流不息，优雅的雁形路灯分列两边，桥头两边各有一座三面红旗标志和工农兵人物塑像。趴在桥边栏杆上向下望，宽阔的江面上，波动水涌，一江春水向东流，川流到海不复回。
货船一字排开，呜呜的汽笛声传出老远，两岸绿树葱葱，姹紫嫣红，南岸的大桥公园内，水池、喷泉、花草尽入眼底。放眼远望，南京全城风貌尽收眼底，高楼林立，绿色掩映，古色古香的寺庙显示出六朝古都的神韵，真是美不胜收啊！
忽然，脚下开始震动起来，“轰隆隆”的声音随即入耳。原来，桥下是京沪铁路，一列火车正在徐徐通过，它的建成结束了津浦铁路57年隔江相望的历史。来到桥头，新旧两块铭牌同时述说着长江大桥的历史：1960年春动工，1969年12月29日全面建成通车。它上层是公路桥，全长4589米，宽19、5米，下层是双轨铁路桥，全长6772米，宽14米，它曾以“最长的公铁两用桥”被载入《吉尼斯世界记录大全》。南京长江大桥完全是由我国劳动人民自行设计、制造、施工的，它是我们中华民族的骄傲！
