今天是到达桂林的第一天。在火车上度过了一天一夜的时光，可把我给憋坏了，下车闻到了新鲜清爽的空气，大大的吸上一口，可真舒服呀！
出了火车站，我们就被当地的一名导游姐姐接走了。坐在大巴上，这位姐姐向我们介绍今天要去的景点。我们一会儿要去的地方叫做“王城·独秀峰”。这里最早是朱元璋的侄子朱守谦的住所，明朝过后，到了清朝，这里就成为了王爷、王妃们的住所了。听说，这里还是古时候考状元的地方呢。如今，这里已经是中国目前唯一一座集自然山水、历史文化、高等学府为一体的大学——广西师范大学所在地。
走进王城·独秀峰的大门，就有一种王者的气质扑面而来。走进展厅，导游向我们介绍了许多位历史上有名的王爷。接着，我们又参观了古时候考状元的地方。而且现在这里面真设了一个考场，现场考状元，两分钟的答题时间，考对了就是状元。后来，考上的状元竟然是一个八岁的小男孩。
参观完前面后，我们又来到了后院。后院有一座高耸入云的山峰，这就是独秀峰。独秀峰的后面是月牙湖。
两个小时的时间过后，我们就离开了被誉为“南方小故宫”的王城·独秀峰。
中午吃完饭后，我们就来到了古东瀑布。这个瀑布的奇妙之在就是可以爬。爬着上瀑布，可以和水来个亲密的接触，这对我们来说具有多么大的诱惑力。不用说，我们个个都是摩拳擦掌，跃跃欲试了。
穿戴好攀爬的一切装备后，我们就出发了。“不满十四岁的儿童不能爬第一级瀑布。”这一道禁令将我拒止到了第一级瀑布的大门之外，我只能眼馋的看着那些大哥哥、大姐姐们在第一级瀑布上攀爬。我急忙一路小跑走到第二级瀑布上开始攀爬起来。
这一爬可真是手脚并用了。手紧紧的抓住铁链，脚踏在光滑的石板上，一小步一小步的.往前移。就这样，稍不留神脚下就会一滑，就会来一个踉跄。手脚并用的爬了没有一小段我就感觉到累了。爬！向上爬！一听要坚持到底，不能半途而废。
这次爬瀑布我最大的收获就是深深的到了“坚持就是胜利”这句话的含义。你爬了一级瀑布可能不会觉得累，但当你爬了几级时，就会觉得很累了。这时候，你就有放弃的念头了。每当这时，我就在心里给自己加油鼓劲：加油！坚持就是胜利！当爬到最后一级瀑布时，我爬到一半就没劲了，手死死的抓住铁链，停在了那里。这时候，我听见已经爬上去的人给我的加油鼓劲声：“加油！马上就上来了。加油！坚持！”于是，我一鼓作气，爬上了最后的这一段瀑布。
来桂林的第一天真是收获多多，快乐多多！

哥哥身着棕红色的棉袄，戴着厚厚的棉帽，下穿宝蓝色的棉裤，背着绿色的背包，脚穿黑色棉鞋。我穿着粉红色棉袄，戴上镶着白色绒毛的连衣帽，下穿紫色棉裤，脚穿棕色棉鞋，背着黄色的背包。哥哥戴上蓝色手套，我戴上绿色手套。牵着手出发了。
北极仿佛是个银白色的世界，不仅寒冷，而且人烟稀少。呈现在我们眼前的是厚厚的冰层，常年不化的冰山。湖面上飘着许多大块的浮冰。哥哥和我小心翼翼的走在随时可能断裂的冰层上。来到了企鹅嬉戏的地方。它们背部从头到尾和两个前鳍呈黑色，长着白色的肚皮。尖尖地嘴巴和大大的鸭子脚呈深黄色，大大的眼睛注视着我们，它们对我们既不陌生，也不害怕。有的企鹅像游泳健将在水里嬉戏，好像迎接我们的到来;有的企鹅在捕食，显示他们的本领;有的企鹅在打盹儿;有的企鹅挺着肚子互相追逐。眼前的一切既让我好奇又让我兴奋。
