前日偶读一文《我们究竟在考什么》，文中阐述了这样一个故事：一个物理系的高才生面对用一个气压计如何测楼高的简单物理题，坚持用十多种不同于标准答案的方法予以解答。最妙的一种是，轻敲守门人的房间，再问：“请问这座楼有多高?”哑然失笑之余，给了我们无尽的思考：在面对一个实际问题时，究竟是一个标准答案好呢，还是鼓励多种多样的思维方式呢?
近日偶看一画展，画的是幼儿园的小朋友眼中的太阳，有的是红色的太阳，名曰《光明》;有的是蓝色的太阳，名曰《地球的颜色》;有的是黑色的太阳，名曰《灰尘满天的可怜的太阳》。惊奇之余，我愕然，看着这些雅气未脱的字迹，我惊叹于那无限的想象力。
无限的多样性归根于个性的多样性，在这个崇尚创造的世界里，在这个崇尚创新的时代里，它是最最不可忽视的。不难想象，没有创造，我们很可能还生活在茹毛饮血、混沌未开的原始社会，我们很可能还在黑暗中挣扎，我们很可能还在大自然的淫威下不知所措。
崇尚创造，接纳并鼓励这种无限的多样性吧!记住：“第一个形容女人是花的是天才，第二个这样形容的是庸才，第三个这样形容的是大大的蠢才!”

创新，并不是所谓的闭门造车，不是靠自己的主观臆造去随意地瞎编乱造，而是要注意继承前人优秀的成果，在别人正确的理论指导下创新才会显得更有意义。英国17世纪的科学巨匠牛顿发现了万有引力定律和运动的三大定律，创新不可谓不丰富。可当别人问及他为什么会取得如此的成绩时，他说：“如果说我看得更远一些，那是因为我站在了巨人的肩上。”虽然这只是一时谦虚之词，但细细想来，如果没有伽利略夜观星空，如果没有第谷数十年如一日研究天体的运行规律，那么牛顿想要总结出物体运行的三大定律，似乎要大费周折了。可见，继承和创新是不可分的，只有在取得其精髓去其糟粕的继承中创新才是可取的。
马克思作为世界无产阶级的革命导师，用毕生的心血写成了光辉巨著《资本论》，他的创新精神鼓舞和造就了一大批的仁人志士为社会的进步而奋斗。诚然，大英博物馆的一桌一椅见证了他的冥思苦想之后的豁然开朗，之后的奋笔疾书，见证了他那前无古人后无来者的理论。但是如果没有他翻前人之作时的专注，摘抄资料时的认真，圣西门、傅立叶他们的空想理论，他也不会成功的。甚至可以断言，如果没有他们，《资本论》也许不会这么快地完成，我们也许还要在黑暗中摸索着前进。可见，在继承中创新往往会收到事半功倍的良好效果。其实不用更多的证明，那指导我们走上富裕之路的***理论，那真知灼见的“三个代表”重要思想便雄辩地说明了继承和创新的关系。
盲目的创新往往会弄巧成拙，让人传为笑谈。君不见那“邯郸学步”的郑国人，总想学习别人的步法，以便自己跟本国的人走路不一样，似乎是创新了，但是动机不纯，方法不对，不知继承，落了个爬回去的下场。前几年的小品《如此包装》也是说的这个道理，本来评剧便是一门值得继承的艺术，可是那个“总监”非要进行“创新”，将原来风马牛不相及的流行音乐与民族艺术强行配伍，结果是可想而知的。那“创新”出来的“四不像”让我们津津乐道了好些年。若不得要领，便很容易犯同样的错误。
继承和创新是雨与水的关系，没有了继承如同只有鱼没有水，再好的创新也会成为空中楼阁，不会有长久的生命力;而只有水没有鱼似乎更表现出只有继承没有创新的死寂，毫无生气。只有鱼和水统一在一起，才会变得有生气。正如创新和继承完美地结合在一起，才会结出成功的果实一样。
创新是重要的，但是继承同样是重要的。你要想获得成功，继承和创新是必不可少的。“问渠那得清如许，为有源头活水来。”没有了继承便是无源之水，而没有了创新便是一潭死水，只有在继承的基础上创新，才会真的“清如许”了。
