本溪水洞位于辽宁省本溪市，由水洞、温泉寺、汤沟、关门山、铁刹、庙后山6个风景区组成。它沿着太子河呈带状分布，总面积42.2平方公里，光水洞大厅正面就有1000多平方米的水面！据说它的码头就可同时停泊40艘游船呢！真够大的，太令人期待了。
于是，带着满满的期待，我们一家驱车一睹它举世闻名的风采。
我们一路有说有笑，经过四个半小时的奔波，终于到了本溪水洞。随着人流，刚一进水洞，我就猛打了一个寒战，感到浑身不自在，因为一股寒流迎面扑来，冻得我两脚发软，两腿发麻，原来这里的气温这么低。妈妈赶紧给我穿上了棉衣，我顿时暖和了许多。听导游说，这里常年只有零上8-10度，怪不得这么冷呢！
我们往里走，眼前顿时别有洞天：奇形怪状的石头满眼都是，高低错落有致。人工制造的景观更让人叹为观止！原始人在劳作，原始象在奔跑，各类恐龙威风凛凛、张牙舞爪、栩栩如生。要知道这可是我梦寐以求的地方啊，于是我赶紧和妈妈拍照留念。
紧接着，我们又看到了更加神奇的一幕：有头大象叫“玉象戏水”，有一长剑叫“倚天长剑”。我在观看“双玉猫”和“老虎口”的时候，一滴水正巧掉在我的脑门上，我吓得大叫一声，把妈妈和游客都逗得哈哈大笑。
游船再往前行驶，我仿佛进入了仙境：漂亮的石钟乳和石笋，千奇百怪、形态各异，让人目不暇接。我忍不住用手摸了一下，啊！又滑又凉。其中有一个长达2米的.大石钟乳，更让我惊讶！它悬在洞顶，像一把长剑，非常锋利，似乎就要掉下来似的，我们的游船都得绕它而行呢！
我们在欢笑中走出了水洞，又参观了地质博物馆，看到了水晶、矿石、方解石等地理方面的东西，还感受了一场模拟“地震”，填补了我从来未学过的东西。最后，我们还去了硅化木公园，玩了一把“怪怪屋”。
一天的旅程就要宣告结束了，千种不舍，万般无奈，我们依依不舍地登上汽车，挥手告别了让我从未这样开心愉悦、这样奇妙无比的本溪水洞。
