正在句号开心的'时候，逗号生气地说：“句号，你也太小看我了吧。你们看我脸黑黑的，像一只小蝌蚪，并且，一句话没说完的时候，也需要用到我。我的作用最大！”
这时，感叹号火冒三丈地说：“你们也不能小看我呀！你们看，我像个大棒子，而且还能发射风火轮呢。而且，在感叹句的句末都少不了我！”
问号暴跳如雷地大声说：“感叹号，我也能发射风火轮啊！而且，表示疑问的时候，都要用到我。”
冒号得意洋洋地说：“哼，我才是最厉害的。你看，你们都是一个人，我有两个同伴，我可是团结高手呢。并且，表示说话的时候，句子跑了，我还可以派我的同伴抓住它呢！”标点符号们慢慢地吵了起来。
这时，字典公公和蔼地对标点符号们说：“你们各有各的长处，你们团结起来才是最厉害的。”听了字典公公的话，标点符号们满脸羞愧。
这个故事告诉我们人人都有长处，团结起来力量大。
