暑假去厦门游玩，我有幸看到了海边的日落，那壮观不凡的奇景，让我至今仍然记忆犹新。
记得那一次，到海边时，已经六点半左右了。我不顾疲劳，急不可待地要去坐船，爸爸妈妈只好陪我去坐船。
船刚开不久，就听见有人在喊：“快看，太阳要下山了!”天是蓝的，海也是蓝的，水天相接，浩瀚无际，多么壮观呀!可太阳还是高高地挂在天上呀，根本没有要落下的神态。爸爸对我说：“你看，太阳其实正在落下呢，只是很慢。”我睁大眼睛盯着太阳，果然，太阳正在一点一点往下移，像一只蜗牛在爬行——速度很慢。
傍晚时分，在万里长空奔波了一天的太阳接近了地平线，帮衬的还有火烧云。天上的云红彤彤的，这边的才有一点红，那边的已经变成金灿灿的，真是变化极多呀!
随着云彩慢慢变红，而且天边也有了一丝晚霞，好像抹不掉的色彩。天水之间，顿时成了一片红色世界，连我的脸也被霞光照得红扑扑的。太阳只剩下半边脸了，但我还想再观赏观赏这美丽无比的景色，太阳似乎明白我的心思，故意停留在半空中，用它最后几分钟时间尽力打扮这个世界。可能怕人们看不到自己的杰作，太阳发出刺眼的光芒，让人睁不开眼睛。可能是太阳真的要回家了，或者是它劳动一天已经疲倦了，光芒已经弱了许多。整个海面的颜色也更加柔和了，我坐的船准备靠岸，还有更多的船往岸边开来，太阳提醒我们晚上要来了。
太阳终于“回家”了，云变成了灰色，海边的雾渐渐加浓了，天地之间一片黑暗。月亮跟着爬了起来，淡淡的月光抚摸着大地，空气中还带着一丝丝凉气。暮色中，我努力看清了海面，为这次的奇景而赞叹!
