夏天的夜晚，闷热而让人烦躁，我挺直身躯立在街口，努力瞪大雪亮的眼睛，盯着聚拢在脚边的人。
夜晚里的人们显得格外酷热。这时，走过来一为大妈和一位阿姨。说：“大妈，听说你的腰扭伤了，好久没看见你出来散步了。”“好些了吗？”阿姨问。“好多了，这不，出来散步了。”大妈的表情里出现一种很热的心理状态。
不一会儿，风就来了，吹得我瑟瑟发抖。这时走来一对中年夫妇，还带着一个孩子，从远方赶回来看把腰扭伤的母亲。那孩子冻得直喊冷，这时，我多想自己是一件棉袄，去给她取暖。可惜，我只是一盏路灯，照明才是我的主要职能。
“小军，小路，快来下棋了！”刚上幼儿园的明明迷上了下棋。“来了，来了。”三个人在木墩上坐定。热闹的下棋比赛开始了。
刚上初中的小菲坐在我下面，望着天上的星星出神：“为什么，我什么都做不好？”妈妈默默的走过来，拍着小菲的后背。说：“孩子，路灯虽然亮，它在夜晚最风光，白天人们不需要它。”“哦，妈妈，人都有缺点，有优点，不能因为缺点而自卑，对不对？”小菲笑了，我也笑了。
