记得那是一个夜黑风高的晚上，奶奶生病了，我一个人在家里，家里的电话也打不出去，我不知怎么办，去找医生？不行，我不知道医院在哪里（因为当时我才五岁）。我想来想去自言自语道：“对呀！可以去找妈妈啊。”于是我换上衣服，关上门飞快跑出了家门。
我站在大门口不敢走出去，过了一会，天空也好像为我着急起来下起了大雨，我不能不回家拿伞遮雨，回到家我看见奶奶已经发高烧了，痛苦的样子让我心痛起来了……我鼓起勇气走出了院子的大门，这时雨下得更大了，我越来越害怕，忽然，我觉得后面有脚步声，“哒、哒、哒”那声音让我毛骨悚然起来，我见离妈妈家越来越近了，于是我加快了脚步，没想到脚步声也加快了。突然，我想起了姥姥的话：“要是你深夜在路上走后面有脚步声的话就说明有鬼”。我想：我身后真的有鬼吗？我心里更加忐忑不安了，我自言自语说：“李菁玉，你一定能战胜魔鬼的，加油！”我鼓足了勇气，一下子跳进了路旁的草堆，看着路上的行人，只见有一个人像是在找什么东西，“不是在找我吧”我说。我吓红了脸但又说“不能怕，一定要战胜困难。”我不停安慰着自己，并拿手抚摸着自己的胸口对自己说：“别怕，别怕。”快到妈妈家了，我飞奔而去……
回到妈妈家我才发现那个人竟然是爸爸。唉！虚惊一场。
原来，世界上根本没有鬼，鬼都是虚幻的，所以，我们要相信科学，破除迷信。从此我不怕走夜路了。
