丁香，无形中用它的'美渲染了整个城市。在哈尔滨，丁香花开的时候一般指一年中最好美好的时候春天。丁香花开放时总是一团团、一簇簇，争相怒放，象征着哈尔滨市民团结、热情好客的美好品德。
丁香花花茎成深褐色，它有很多茎，从粗到细，花茎的颜色从深到浅。叶子有嫩绿色和深绿色，叶纹清晰可见。丁香花的根深深的扎在土里，努力向土里延伸着它的根，吸取营养和水分，这不正是我们哈尔滨市民坚韧不屈的性格吗？远看丁香花像一个亭亭玉立的少女，近看像一个小伞，美丽无暇。
丁香花不仅有观赏价值，而且也有药用价值，晒干后的丁香花可以泡茶喝，喝到口里的丁香花茶有一股淡淡的清香，是人感到心旷神怡。
