终于有一次国庆节放假，一共放六天，在家的时间长了，与父母接触也就长了。
妈妈说要带我去爸爸的工地上去，一直就想去的我迫不及待的答应了，因为爸爸是在一个小区里工作，听说那个小区里有玩的、有看的`、还有喷泉和楼，所以一直向往着亲自去看一看。
于是，一切准备就绪后就开始出发了……一路上，我的心情正如那大海一般激荡汹涌，好像把体内燃烧的激情一下全部释放出来。看着路边经过的景物，一排排整齐的树，一棵棵嫩绿的小草，一朵朵鲜艳的花朵，仿佛都来欢送我的到来和离过。于是，我也向它们回了个礼，在心里默默的说了声谢谢。
到了到了，爸爸的工地到了，首先映入眼帘的是一排排高大的楼房，后面果然有一个不大不小的喷泉，广场也来凑热闹了，好不快活……
我一直以为爸爸在哪个楼里面办公，没想到是楼房边的那个不起眼的木板房里，一时好失望啊！我问爸爸：“爸爸，你怎么就在这工作啊？又破又乱的。”爸爸听后显得有些不高兴了，他对我说：“你这是哪里话？怎么可以说这破呢？你想想，如果没有我们这些工人来给他们的楼房修这修那的，他们能住的安定吗？就像鱼儿离不开水那样，时时刻刻都需要我们工人，不是么？”
听完爸爸这一番话，心里顿时一惊，他这一番话让我产生了别样的看法，以前我总是对工人没有好感，觉得他们又脏又没有本事，并且钱还赚的少，总是对他们有一种厌烦感，没想到，是我错了，不该那样去对待他们，他们了不起啊！
正如鱼儿离不开水，鸟儿离不开天空，孩子离不开妈妈，同样高大的楼房也离不开辛勤的工人啊！从此以后，我从心底默默感谢那些不知名的工人，他们并不没本事，他们只是在默默的为人们服务着，不怕苦，不怕累，为的是人们能安定的生活，这是一份神圣的工作，了不起！
