First they went out and found two straight sticks of the same length. They brought them back home and tied them with a piece of string into the shape of a cross. Then they took some string and used it to tie the four ends of the sticks together. Then, they spread some brightly coloured paper over the frame and glued it around the string.They stuck a tail made of paper to one of the corners, and tied a long string to the centre of the kite.
On the next windy day, they took the kite to a hill near their house and flew it.

好像是我五岁那一年，妈妈送了我一个大胖塑料娃娃作为生日礼物。这个洋娃娃可大了，足有两尺半大，穿了一件粉红色浅蓝色相间的连衣裙，还在裙袖边、脖子周围和裙子底下的边都镶了金银色的边呢，可好看了！最最有趣的是：它的嘴巴里还含着一个皮奶嘴，看它的样子，好像很香的吸吮着奶嘴。但是，只要你把它的奶嘴拿下来时，它便“呜哇呜――呜哇呜”地哭着没完，当你把它的奶嘴按回去时，它的哭声就戛然而止。我特别喜欢这个洋娃娃，当没有人陪我玩、我生气的时候，我就抱着它打它玩，而它却从来不还手。
冬天来了，我早就穿上了毛衣毛裤了，可是那个小娃娃却仍旧穿着那件漂亮的连衣裙，露出两条旁胖乎乎的小腿，我想她多么冷啊！得给它找一个暖和的地方，我抱着它走来走去，还自言自语地说：“小娃娃你不哭，我来帮你。”最终我带她去厨房了。厨房里的火炉烧得火红火红的，很暖和，于是我找来一块铁皮，把铁皮放到火炉上，让洋娃娃站在上面烤火。我搬来一个小凳坐在旁边陪伴她。不一会儿，他的小嘴就一张一合的。我正在高兴的时候，只见洋娃娃越来越矮了，还冒出了缕缕青烟和一股呛人的气味。看到这种情景，我哇地一声哭了起来。
妈妈赶紧跑了过来，从炉子上拿下洋娃娃，问我是怎么回事。我抽咽着说。“我，我怕她冻着了，要用毛衣裹起来又怕，怕把她闷死了，所以……”听完，妈妈哈哈大笑起来，然后给我讲了许多知识，我才明白塑料是不能放在炉子上烤的。
童年时这件给洋娃娃烤火的傻事，现在回想起来，还真是好笑、有趣。

这个洋娃娃可真大呀！足有二尺高，穿着一身粉红色的连衣裙，还镶着白边呢！漂亮极了。最有趣的是，洋娃娃嘴里还叼了个皮奶嘴，好像在很看似地吸吮着奶。当你把奶皮嘴拿掉，它便“呜啊――，呜啊――”地哭起来，可是把奶嘴一塞进它的.嘴里，哭声便戛然而止。
我特别喜欢这个洋娃娃，因为在没人陪我玩的时候，我可以跟它说话，我和洋娃娃就成了一对好朋友。
记得深秋的一天，我已经穿上了毛衣、毛裤，可是洋娃娃还穿着那件连衣裙，露出两条白嫩嫩的小腿，真冷啊！给它找一个暖和的地方吧！于是，我抱着它来到厨房，看见火炉烧得红红的，很暖和，我就在上面放一块铁皮，让洋娃娃站在上面烤火。我搬了一个小板凳，坐在一旁陪着它。不一会，洋娃娃的嘴一张一合，我正高兴着，只见洋娃娃越来越矮，还冒出缕缕青烟和一阵焦糊味，我见此情景，急得哭起来。
妈妈赶忙跑过来，从火炉上拿掉洋娃娃，问我怎么回事，我抽噎着说：“我怕它冷，用毛衣裹着又怕它闷死，所以……”妈妈听了，大笑起来，然后给我讲了道理。
打那以后，我知道了，塑料是不能放在火炉上烤的。
童年那一件件有趣的事，现在想起来，还真好笑。

nowadays, we can see some boys and girls who live in a small world of their own. they bury themselves among books and are proud of themselves. they think that it will make them lose their face if they do housework for they often think themselves very noble.
these young people are wrong. in my opinion every student should have a knowledge of housework. after all, they will have a family of their own, and they should do their part in keeping a good home. boys should also learn to do housework, for what will they do if they remain single? though not all boys remain single,yet they will be very helpful in the family if they know some housework. anyhow they will not lose anything, but, on the contrary, they will gain something useful.
for what i said above, we can find some eamples of our fellow-students studying abroad. all young men do housework as girls do. someone would argue that we can employ servants. this is true.however, what shall we do if the servant leaves us and all things are left to ourselves? we just cannot leave our clothes as they are and let worms and ants eat them up. and what can we do it we go and study in a foreign country where servants are out our means to employ? we must work for ourselves. why not start to learn to do housework now or else it will be too late? everyone should learn to do housework. what do you think about my idea, boys and girls?
