没有一点旅游的准备，也没有向导，车子跟着导航，顺着广肇高速，见到四会的出口便下来了。天公不作美，狂风暴雨，一路泞泥，进到四会市区，赶紧找了家茶庄，避雨喝茶，顺便了解一下四会的情况。
茶庄不大，老板娘和茶姑娘们热情接待我们，虽然我们不买茶，也不很懂茶，但凭我们三寸不烂之舌，就这样聊开了。四会市区其实不大，一条江水贯穿东西，纵横两条大马路，新建楼房不多，交通繁杂，说到好玩就是逛玉器城、天光墟，说到好住就是住仙女潭假日山庄、银星酒店等，说到好吃就是吃西江、北江的河鲜和各式农家菜。情况摸清了，也快到晚饭时间，于是我们便按着她们的介绍开始寻觅起来了。
首先奔赴贞山寻找住宿，冲着仙女潭假日山庄的名头，那是首选的落脚点。有好住的地方必然有好吃的去处，这是多年外出的所在，因此车就沿着山路直上，不怕荒凉。一进入贞山的'大牌坊，远远的望见了座落在山间的寺院，走近一看，原来是新建成的“六祖寺”，寺院恢宏大气，缘山而建，层层而起，共有四座，一座比一座高，香火还不是很盛，可能是刚建好，我们算是此一时刻的第一拔游客。仙女潭就座落在寺庙的后山上，两条清沏见底的山泉水绕寺而下，水流潺潺，白晃晃、亮晶晶的，真让人想畅游一番。由于天色将晚，未能一一游览，看了几间大殿，参拜了众多菩萨，便尽往山庄而去。
果真是禅房花木，曲径通幽。仙女潭山庄就在山路的尽头，房子是一间一间的小木屋，依山傍水，林木葱郁，环境清幽古雅，窗明几净，住一晚98元，住客还可免费享受山泉水游泳，真是又便宜又好。呼吸山间清流，静听林荫鸟鸣，坐观明月东升，尽洗尘世浮华，此情此景，心灵感受到从未有过的荡涤与升华。
俗话说住酒店，吃排档。住在酒店，就不能吃在酒店，要去找大排档，才有好吃的东西。于是在山脚找了家河鲜大排档，饿得前心贴后背的我们，自然是饕餮一番，四个人点了八个菜，凡是招牌菜的都上，直吃得站不起身来，才发觉太饱了，原来饿过头和吃太饱都是那么难受。
尽享一晚清风明月，第二天一早起来，忙完了事，便又赶赴“天光墟”了。四会这几年的玉石加工已经闻名遐迩，主要是加工从缅甸进来的翡翠等，形成了广东的四大玉石名城之一。顾名思义，天光墟，就是天亮时的墟集，这时来自全国各地的玉石批发商，玉石爱好者、收藏者，都趁着天未光，就云集而来，煦煦攘攘，讨价还价，因此形成了天光墟这样一个大墟市。
我不懂玉，更不懂如何鉴赏。因此专门找一些正在交易的、看似很在行的大叔大婶们，跟在他们后面，听他们如何分析，如何出价，又如何跟玉老板们过招。集市很大，一眼望不到头，分成十几二十路，每一路都摆满了玉石，站满了人，各种灯光，各式手电筒，交相辉映。原来玉石要用灯光来照，看水头，看种色，看工艺，看质地，这是四项基本要素，学会了，我也似模似样地装成买卖人。挑中了一块玉原石，就是还没加工未成形的玉胚石，老板娘说一看我就是行家，亏本低价卖给我了。我心中一阵大喜，马上付钱结账，朋友们说我上当了，后来我找了一家鉴定行鉴定，那柜台小姑娘说，我买的太值了，抵到烂。于是我把它小心翼翼地包好，放在包里，像捡到宝一样。
由于台风来临的缘故，一直下雨不断，当然不会去逛街了，四会的街道杂乱无章，楼房老旧，摆卖的东西也没什么特色，在一家咖啡厅喝完了咖啡，看看天气一直阴雨不止，好在事已办完，便驱车离去，心情却犹如天气一样，阴沉缠绕于此。
