在每个人的成长过程中，都遇到过失败和挫折，有人会想，我失败了，放弃吧。那你就永远也爬不起来了。而有人会，加油！我还能坚持。那便会有成功的机会。我也不例外，令我记忆犹新的还是在四年级的一次运动会上的事。
在四年级时，学校要开运动会了。班主任史老师给我报了400米接力跑、跳沙坑、60米短跑三个项目。我在体育课上的活动时间全被训练占用了。早晨、放学我都努力去练习。可不幸的是：我的\'脚在前几天的一次训练中扭伤了。原以为比赛那天能好，可脚比赛前还在疼痛。比赛的第一个项目是60米短跑。跑步前，我一心想着：我现在不是一个人在比赛，而是为班级争光，我一定能行。跑步时，我拼命向前跑去，可我这脚就是不争气，比赛结果只得了个第四名。我休息了一会儿，喝了些水，把脚活动活动，感觉好多了。“莫双玥……”广播中报到了我的名字，我马上走了过去。妹妹对我说：“姐姐，加油！胜利只属于你一个人！”张慧芹拍了拍我的肩膀，说：“莫双玥，加油！为我们班争光！”我听后，自信地说：：“你们就等着看我的表现吧！”第一次和第二次我都拿下了，在第三次跳之前，我的脚不禁颤了一下，大家的加油声一声高过一声，我也不想让大家失望，可实在是力不从心啊！400米接力跑之前，我的脚越来越痛了，眼泪在眼眶中打转。老师知道后劝我不要跑了，但我想：困难再大我也要克服，我还能坚持。我是第四棒，结果由我的速度来决定。我接过接力棒，使劲往前冲去，脚越来越疼，我咬紧牙坚持着，坚持着，100米、80米、50米、20米、10米、5米，终于冲到终点，我是第一名！我一边摸着脚一边往回走，眼泪不禁夺眶而出，这是疼痛的眼泪，这是喜悦的泪水。大家搀扶着我，说：“莫双玥，好样的！”

the summer vacation had come round again. i was happy that i could forget about school at least for a while. lest i fool around all through this summer vacation, i made a plan as to how to spend it. first, i thought i should go over all those things my teachers taught in the previous term so that i could have a better understanding of them.
then i thought i should take up some forms of exercise, such as walking, running and rowing, to keep me physically strong. it stood to reason that with such a good plan i should make the best of my vacation time. i did, because i lived up to what i had planned.
