Sometimes some children fly kites on it and some people sit on the grass and chat. in the middle of the park, there is a lake. there are many boats on it. there is a hill in the east of the park.

中秋之夜，天清如水，月明如镜，可谓良辰之美景，然而对此人们并未满足，于是便有燃灯以助月色的风俗。
在湖广一带有用瓦片叠塔于塔上燃灯的节俗。在江南一带则有制灯船的节俗。在近代中秋燃灯之俗更盛。
今人周云锦、何湘妃《闲情试说时节事》一文说：“广东张灯最盛，各家于节前十几天，就用竹条扎灯笼。作果品、鸟兽、鱼虫形及庆贺中秋等字样，上糊色纸绘各种颜色。中秋夜灯内燃烛用绳系于竹竿上，高树于瓦檐或露台上，或用小灯砌成字形或种种形状，挂于家屋高处，俗称树中秋或竖中秋。富贵之家所悬之灯，高可数丈，家人聚于灯下欢饮为乐，平常百姓则竖一旗竿，灯笼两颗，也自取其乐。满城灯火不啻琉璃世界。”看来从古至今中秋燃灯之俗其规模似乎仅次于元宵灯节。
又一说法是说，民间传说在很久以前，有一只神鸟因为迷路而降落人间，却被不知情的猎人给射死了。天帝知道后十分震怒，传旨下令，让天兵于正月十五到人间放火，把人间的人畜财产通通烧光。天帝的女儿心地善良，不忍心看百姓无辜受难，就偷偷来到人间，把这个消息告诉了人们。一个聪明人想出个法子，他让大家在正月十四、十五、十六这3天都在家里张灯结彩、点响爆竹、燃放烟火，这样一来，天帝就会以为天兵已经放过火了。到了正月十五这天晚上，天帝往下一看，发觉人间一片红光，响声震天，连续3个夜晚都是如此，以为是大火燃烧的火焰而作罢。为了纪念这次成功，从此每到正月十五，家家户户都挂灯笼，来纪念这个日子。
小结：中秋节的点灯笼传说是关于民间的人触犯了天庭，使得玉帝发怒，要火烧人间。之后玉帝的女儿把这件事情告诉了人间之后才会这么一出，但是这些都是神话传说，真实性无从考证，但是一直都有流传下来。
